I didn't have to 'spot them'. The war protesters in the UK came from all walks of life and a large portion where elderly - not a very liberal demographic.

I didn't say that the ONLY source of my information was spotting. Mine was demographics too... 18, 19, twenty somethings and that demographic is very liberal.

Two can play this game.

No, only you can because you simply deny what is self evident, war protesters as it pertains to the Iraq war can not be pigeonholed as anti-right.

Seeing that your so intelligent, why dont you lay out a plan. After all, one who complains without a solution is an idiot.

Now, there you go widening the scope to be right or divert. I never said anything about anyone being anti-right. I said that the majority of war protesters were liberals and they wanted the US out of Iraq immediately.

I know what I've said.

Is the entire point to this another swipe at alleged double standards because there was once big anti-war opposition and now there isn't?

From his post on page one, certainly. Where are the anti-Afghanistan war protestors? They are clearly sucking on the Obama teat.

Shining his shoes too.

That you can know UK protests were from all walks of political life, but I can't know protests in the US were majority liberal.

WOW, you are special, you can know based on DEMOGRAPHICS and I can't.... WOW AGAIN!!!!

It is a point worth making liberals bi$ch and cry about the war, elect a congress to end war and the congress does nothing other than support the war.

There have been anti-war protests this year - there was a big one back in DC in March to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Iraq war. Another in SF I believe - and it didn't take much effort to turn it up... I'm sure there are others.

Could it simply be that these aren't getting much press because of other stories (like healthcare and the economy)?

Exactly, because all anti war protesters are libruls and all librals are the same. Here, have a gold star, you have earned it.

The problem with the original premise of this thread is that it doesn't allow for the possibility that people's opinions change over time.

I stated that... Bush's approval ratings were actually quite high in the beginning of the Iraq War, but they eroded significantly from 2004-2008. My point is that the VJ Right loves to blame everything on liberals but unless 70% of America are liberals (which is not the case) that means a whole bunch of non-liberals ended up thinking Bush wasn't a very good President.

You have already discredited yourself by talking about polls. I never mentioned a poll.

 You kill me... you & J-A have the misconception that the world is full of (according to you) sane, rational people like you two & a bunch of clueless liberals and I was showing you that there are a whole bunch of people in-between. In fact you can even be a fiscal conservative & liberal on social issues or vice versa.

So what part of this discredits me? Also I think you are mixing up your discussions with MC & Pike with me... I think they are arguing related but separate issues.

Of course now that Bush is gone, everything is okay with the war. Even though Obama swore he would pull the troops asap.
