Well I just go a call from my congressman's aid. She said my I-130 was sent to a adjusters July 31 and also told me it can take up to 45 days from that point till I hear something if all goes well. :( hope it is sooner. I am hoping for this month so I can take the NOA2 to Thailand with me so we can do her police report while in BKK.

I did not see a touch on my I-130, so I don't think they put a congressional enquirer on my file.

All I did was email and ask then to look into the status. I told them "I see others getting there now that are the same time frame as mine on VisaJourney getting theirs approved". She call back and said it was sitting on a desk as of 7/31 to be check and it should be less then 1 month to get approved.

I guess it does help to just have a congressman ask about it. Try emailing your congressman and see what happens. your in the time frame now.

sdw this advice could help you

maybe you should start pursuing your congressman from now rather than wait till its past the 5 mth mark

Just be patient. My I-130 took almost 9 full months if you check my timeline. Now I have made my entry into USA as an immigrant. It will be worth your time. Good luck.

From what she said it was send to a adjusters on July 31 so it takes about 3 Months to go thought the FBI checks. I don't think they can do anything about speeding that up.I think if it sitting on an adjusters desk, they will review it when a congressman calls to them. From what I read here, they can not help much if there is something wrong with the FBI search or something is wrong or missing with you paper work.

I would say find out now which one of the 3 will do it and get the email of the staff member that handles it. Then when you see other start to get visa around the same time frame as you send a nice email. I emailed her 3 time in the last 2 week. Just nice reminder and how I miss my son and wife.

that is soo cool! thanks for the tip  when we went through the K1 process last year, i had no idea about this possibility. put all my reliance on an attorney (which got us no where, but a lot of out of pocket money). again, a big congratulations :) your wife and son will be with you very soon
