I thought Mr. Miyogi died, how could they make another RockyMovie.

Oh wait that was Karate Kid--which Hilary Swank was really good in Karate Kid II--obviously her work here was rewarded in Million Dollar Baby.

You can always tell when an actor's career is on the ropes when they have to go back to the original role that made them famous years ago.

I never liked any of the old Rocky movies - if you're going to play a champion boxer it should at least look as though you know how to box. Stallone doesn't show any technique whatsoever - its simply laughable - those movies are the boxing equivalent of WCW.

Interesting to note that (as with the last 5 movies) Stallone is actually directing as well as starring.

Me too. I didn't watch it for boxing technique, though.

Nah I didn't like it all that much. It might be simply that it hasn't dated very well. The issue of boxing technique comes into mind whether or not you think Stallone was convincing in that role.

Considering that he was playing a meathead anyway who simply had to grunt his way through a couple pages of dialogue in a 90 minute movie, you'd think the hard part had been done for him. Just have to learn how to box and make it look halfway authentic.

And the sad thing is, the public really does lap it up!

By the way, what ever happened to Ocean's 1? What gives them the right to skip all the way to 11 right off the bat?
