Hello,

Yesterday brought another little joyful envelope in the mail. The biometrics appointment notice. It was a bummer to see that our appointment isn't until September though. I was wondering, I've seen some of you mention "walk in" for biometrics. How exactly does that work? Can we just show up at the location and see if they can get us in sooner? Or, do these locations have a day of the week that is "open appointment day" or... do you call and see if you can schedule something sooner?

What exactly is the process or what do we need to do to see if we can "walk in"?

I'm so impatient. I know :innocent: But we really want his EAD card as soon as possible. Savings is about to hit the big fat ZERO.

:star:

As always, thank you for your time and information!

Ciao

go on Saturday...

FWIW, when we were at the St Paul ASC last, someone tried a "walk-in" and was summarily rejected.... then the guard then said that they might be successful if they came on Saturday because it is less busy but no guarantees....

YMMV

You show up at the biometrics office and say that is not your appt time but want to do a walk in; most places will let you do it, unless they are extremely busy; and if they are busy, they will tell you when is the best time to come back. If there are other offices in your city, try another one...

If you live not far from the place, then give it a try, just show up and walk in.

I went to mine 17 days early, when I got there, only 3 ppl were in the office, so I did it.

If there are other offices in your city, try another one...

There is not and that is why the office is very busy.....
