marriage certificate/license in Louisiana????

Hi guys!

I need to register my marriage in Romania.They asked me for my original marriage certificate.

I live in Louisiana.I know it;s different from state to state..but the only papers that they gave to us from the Court House are:

-marriage licence(with the gold seal on it)[original)

-2 sets of 2 pages each(first page is a copy of the marriage license,the second a copy of the marriage certificate)

In each set the stamp (that says that's a true copy of the m LICENSE )it's actually put on the second page where it says(CERTIFICATE of MARRIAGE).

The second page(the certificate)of each set ...looks like a form with personal information..and at the end the signitures(us+witnesses)...

I called them and I was there in person..they sayed that's all I can get/

What is it to do?Which is the original of the marriage CERTIFICATE.I only have the original of the m license.(with the gold seal)..and they said not to submit that to Romania...because if smth happens they can't replace it.

Now....is anybody from louisiana?Please can yoy check your papers,..and tell me how ot looks yours?

HI, go to the court house and ask for a certified copy of your marriage licence, hopefully you have already lodged the marriage licence aftr your wedding (you had 10 days to do so) it should cost you about $4 per copy get a couple cause you will need one to open a bank account/change or get a SSN/ and possibly for your drivers licence, and you will need one if your passport isnt in your married name when you travel out of the USA, good luck. i too am living in louisiana, drop me a line anytime!! good luck hope this helped
