Hello All,

Got an interesting tip from talking to an NVC operator. My case was completed 8/5/09 so I called to see if my appointment had been set. The operator told me that the NVC sets the appointments for the following month during the 3rd week of the current month. The operator said appointments are set based on the capacity information that the embassy provides. So - the September appointments ( or the bulk of them ) will be set around August 20th according to her information.

Is this correct ??? will I be likely to get a september interview based on a case completion of August 5 ???

Thank you.

Got my Interview date today from operator! Our case was completed 8/4. We are scheduled for 9/22.

Last week they told me that appointments were scheduled on the 2nd week, also based on capacity. Just keep calling every day, you should get the answer you want soon

Appointments for interview are being scheduled by NVC the 2nd weekd of each month for the following month, and sometimes the 4th week of each month as well. I guess they schedule interviews the 4th week of the month only when they have a lot of cases complete. Also I spoke to the USEM in my country and they said that immigrant visas are being sent after the middle of the month. For other countries packages are sent separately, so may be this is another factor for scheduling interviews with a certain embassy/conculate. Good luck anyway

I'd like to ask regarding an email received from NVC, it's an appointment letter for my interview in the US Embassy in Manila. I saw my name in bold letters but there's a big problem on it, the spelling of my name is incorrect, they spelled it incorrectly. What step will I do in order to fix the spelling of my name? Pls reply...thank you so much.
