I hope his AP is over and done with very soon. When I first started my visajourney Cairo's waits for AP were horrendous! Some over a year but you know what? You really don't see a whole lot of that anymore. It seems like lately a few weeks to a few months is the norm. My husband's AP lasted around 11 days so maybe yours will too. Just keep your faith girl and keep us informed and keep that chin up! It's almost over with....

Hey Bets...they kept the passport, that's for sure good. I think Tasha is right, the AP periods lately haven't been as bad. AP is so standard for Cairo, but like you I don't think I will prepared for it even though more then like we will get it too. InshaAllah, he gets the visa ASAP.

Don't remind me.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hey Betsy,

I was thinking about you last night. Congrats on the sucessful interview. I hope the AP isnt long for you guys. It seems like a standard thing in Cairo. Many prayers for a speedy AP period and quick reunion. (F)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Mabrook on the approval! And don't be discouraged. I was on a June interview thread where lots of us got together that were having June interviews...two people on that thread were from Egypt and the got put in AP, but they were only there, one of them 10 days, the other less than a month. So keep your head up!!! Inshallah it will be a speedy AP!!
