What you are saying in these posts is confusing. Since this is a regional forum it is ok to write in Viet language. Do that if it will be easier to explain. People like me will ask our wives to translate or ask pity from our VN brothers and sisters here on VJ to translate. :)

If the document(s) being turned in are simple and straight forward then there is no reason to wait, just bring it in and get the pink slip.

Now if it is a timeline that needs to be examined and you want to try and speak with the CO about it, then go at the appointed time and hope that you can speak to the CO. But the timeline should explain everything clearly. If it does not, then maybe a longer delay.

In both cases the CO will look over what is being submitted. If it meets the requirement then you will leave with a pink slip. If it needs to be examined you will get a blue slip for administrative processing.

I did it before, right after my fiancé got a blue slip and green slip, I was the one submitted the timeline and BC. I was also wrote a personal letter (explain about the journey that we went through) and let the CO knew that I was in Saigon and submitted this timeline. I believed my personal letter helped me a lot.

And yes, if you are in Vietnam, I recommend you turn in the evidences and also let them know that you’re in Saigon.

About get in the US Consulate, the Security guard allows either you or your wife get in side. My fiancé and I tried it before, but the Security guard won’t let us go. So I decided I go for it.

Hi Anh John,

This is just a small suggestion and I hope you do not take it personal. Please slow down and proof-read your messages before you post. I had to read your messages a few times over before I get to understand it thoroughly.

Kevin

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

I agree. Binh.

I was wondering if John met the CO and talked to him/her about his case?

Brother JohnCali, slow down on everything you did on your case. Read your first blue slip carefully and try to turn in whatever the CO ask for. Don't turn stuff in that the CO won't ask for ... CO doesn't have time to look at stuff that not asking for or required on blue slip.

Thanks
