Maybe send packet 3 again, checklist and DS paperwork and hope for the best. I think it'd be the safest and quickest way forward cause then if they did lose it they have it in hand. doesn't hurt to send it again seeing as they aren't doing anything with your case at the minute.

I maybe wrong but I heard that ppl with criminal records are taking ages to get interviews.. not saying either of you have a criminal record but just some insight.

July 21st, 2009 -- Green Card Received (125days)

No RFEs the whole process :) All done myself.

December 4th - 30th, 2009 -- Visited England

April 8th - 30th, 2010 -- Damian's Brother visits us here in PA.

January 19th, 2010 -- Damian got his PA license.

December 10th - 19th, 2010 -- Visited England

September 16th - 30th, 2011 -- Damian's Parents came to visit us here in PA.

June 1st, 2011 -- Mailed ROC to Vermont.

February 21st, 2012 -- 10 Year Green Card Received

April 14th, 2012 -- N-400 Sent to Dallas Lockbox

November 26th, 2012 – Damian Became a US Citizen!!!

No one is calling you a bad person... your lack of patience and planning skills have cause you to have the issues you now have. You are looking for people to tell you it will be ok to have a fake wedding and that all will be ok.. Nobody here can tell you that. Anyone who organizes and pays for their wedding when they have not yet been approved for a visa is asking for trouble. You would be best to contact the people you have booked your wedding with and find out how much it will cost you to change the date if you need to.

Sadly this is not the fault of USCIS, NVC or the Embassy. They all clearly tell anyone applying for a visa to NOT make any plans that can not be changed. You chose to book your wedding not knowing if you will get the visa in time, and now must deal with the results of your actions. Do not risk everything you have already done with regards to getting your visa by having a fake wedding just to please other people. Your immigration journey should be your top priority right now not a wedding, that will come once you have your visa in your hand. You have 6 months to use the visa and then 90 days once you enter the US to be married, that gives you lots of time to plan your wedding.

I totally agree with this post! Panicing and having a fake wedding just has 'trouble' written all over it. I certainly won't be arranging any wedding plans until I have that Visa in my hot clammy hands. It's OK looking into it, but as for booking anything, Noooooooo sir. Everywhere you read they say not to do so until you've got your Visa - that seems like good advice and I'm following it. I hope your situation helps serve as a warning to others. Good Luck!!

We've been scheduled for an interview Sept 11th at 9:30am.

Our Timeline

11/2001 - met online

6/2006 - first face-to-face meeting (he's been over 7 times total since then).

1/26/09 - filed I-129F with VSC

1/27/09 - package rec'd, NOA1 sent

1/30/09 - NOA1 hardcopy rec'd

1/31/09 - touched

4/29/09 - NOA2 email rec'd from CRIS! YIPPEE!!

5/12/09 - Mark rec'd Packet 3

5/29/09 - returned packet 3

7/12/09 - resubmitted packet 3 after being told for weeks that it was never rec'd

8/19/09 - interview scheduled for 9/11/09! Medical moved to 9/10/09.

9/10/09 - medical - passed

9/11/09 - interview - approved pending embassy receipt of medical results!!!!!!! Hard to believe it's finally done!!

10/2/09 - POE: Logan Airport in Boston, MA. Absolutely no problems, aside from the customs official not knowing what to do with the visa and having to find someone to help.

10/10/09 - Married!! :D :D :D

12/2/09 - SSN applied for in Montpelier, VT

12/7/09 - SSN received in the mail - that was fast!

1/9/2010 - AOS & EAD package sent

1/15/2010 - NOA's received for both AOS and EAD applications

1/22/2010 - biometrics appointment letter rec'd - appt is for 2/2 in St. Albans, VT.

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Sorry I spazzed on you the other day. The stress of all this was really getting to me. I fully realize that it's stress I brought on myself, but if anything that makes it worse, you know? This morning when I got that email, it was literally a feeling like 200lbs being lifted off my chest and shoulders all at once. So, again...I'm sorry for jumping off the deep end on ya! :blush:
