Income tax? Check the IRS.gov website. There really is no difference in income tax rules for permanent residents and citizens. There are some differences for residents (or citizens) who had income in another country for part of the year, but for a regular permanent resident it is the same as anyone else. Tax wise, an LPR has just as much "right" as citizens to pay tax!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
