Just wondering if there is something constructive we can be doing while we languish in our lovely extended stay at the NVC.

We already have all our necessary evidence gathered and forms ready for packet 3.

We do have an LON case number assigned. Would it be a waste of time to schedule the medical at this point, or should we just wait for packet 3?

I know I'm probably getting ahead of myself, but there are some possible issues with car/housing that might be lessened or avoided if we can keep the ball rolling in some way.

Thanks,

Impatient in Nebraska :)

There is nothing you can do, Im so sorry, that really stinks, I hope AP is fast. Wait till your out of AP at NVC, then proceed with rest of your process. Best wishes.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

hi,i just got our noa2,what is the normal wait for nvc????

I assume you mean wait until NVC starts. (received and case # assigned) Seems to be about 2 weeks but could be longer. Up to 4 weeks and occasionally longer. We will be 3 weeks tomorrow, and nothing yet. Needless to say, the frustration and stress has returned after the brief high of getting the NOA2!

You're not alone. Really. It's annoying to think you're making headway.. everything is happening finally, and ... nothing. Hang in there. I call daily and watch the DHL site to see if anything's shipped out to the embassy. Somehow this keeps me reasonably sane.

Hi, sorry you got pulled.

Many of us who got stuck at NVC went ahead and did their medicals and police certs while waiting.

You can call whichever panel physcian you are going to and ask if you can use the NOA2 to schedule the exam, some want the interview letter but many will accept the NOA2.

Its something to do...

Good Luck and I hope you stay is short there.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
