I do not say oot and aboot!!!!!

Well, I wouldn't be so sure of that. Every Canadian does and the ones that say they don't are in denial  Nothing to be ashamed of!

I do not say oot and aboot!!!!!

I DO!

And I guess I say "Sorry" in a funny way too because my coworkers giggle every time I say it.

It's that soooree thing lol

I don't say out or aboot either. I truly believe I don't have much of any kind of identifiable accent.

Swiss Chalet. Harvey's. Mmm... mmm.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I love the Swiss Chalet dipping sauce - I always ask the server to bring me a second one, since one is never enough!

Now THAT's a burger

Harvey's is just good to me because they have an excellent veggie burger, not many fast food chains do besides Licks that I know of. Also, I love the grilled taste and how you choose the toppings and they do it right in front of you. And the pickles are soooo good.... and they have poutine!

Hey Jill if you're ever in NYC again, you should definitely try the veggie burger at 5 Napkin Burger on 9th Ave. I went last week with a vegetarian and she said the veggie burger was the best she's ever had! I had a taste and it was very very tasty. We couldn't figure out what was in there, but it was a lovely mix of vegetables and nuts and seeds we were guessing.

One thing that I'm really missing right now is salad dressing from Canada. The salad dressing here just isn't the same. I think it's the HFCS. When I'm back in Canada I'm totally stocking up on salad dressing.

I don't see the fascination with Harvey's. I've eaten there 8-10 times and found it OK, but nothing special. I love In-N-Out burgers myself. I even have to distract my wife when we drive past an In-N-Out so we don't have to stop every time

And In and Out Burger being tied with Harveys as the #1 burgers in my taste bud land. Especially Animal style yummmy. Damn haven't been to In and Out for 2 months...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

Oh I'll be there again for sure, cool! I love veggie burgers that are more like garden burgers, that sounds so good! I'll definitely have to check it out

I do not say oot and aboot!!!!!

That is one of the most embarassing things about MY family..... they all try to get my wife to say "aboot", which she doesn't. She does however pronounce Mazda and Pasta wrong

Mmmmmm Animal style double double........ I think my decision for dinner has been made

Hey...it's "Mah-zda" where we come from, eh? Not "maw-zda" haha.

Harveys makes a great burger...but it's a tie for first place with A & W for me. A & W is my life when I'm home for a visit.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I don't like Harveys, am I a weird Canadian?

I like Wendy's best, too bad they're rare compared to other fast food places where I'm moving in cali.

I like Wendy's too but be forewarned, Wendy's down here isn't as good as Wendy's in Canada and I have been to couple of different Wendy's down here..

you need to try Carl's Jr... although not every Carl's is that great... seems to be hit and miss.. we have one really good one close by, the others seem to suck...

Jack in the Box is good too.. it is weird though because I went to Jack in the Box when I first moved here and it was really bad but then I went again a year or so later and it was a million times better... I think they changed their recipes or something

I absolutely love Carl's Jr. And Jack in the Box is pretty good too.

And I thought the Wendy's tasted the same as in Canada, maybe I just didn't care because I like that place too much. It's in my blood.

(My mom was working at a Wendys when she was pregnant with me  )
