My coworkers always pick on me about my accent and the way I pronounce things...and a couple have have mentioned to me that my voice gets higher at the end of my questions.....

Nick loves Harvey's and makes us get it every single time.

My mom just brought me down some gingerale and coke. AHHHH!

I miss freezies...they taste like ####### here. They have the white ones and I prayed that it was white cream soda but it was yucky coconut that tasted like poo.

I'm going home in 2 weeks...can't wait!!!

Woo! This will be your first time home in awhile right? oh it will be amazing, i'm warning ya!

And the freezies here DO taste like #######.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Paddle pops in Wisconsin? I was born and raised in WI and don't know of paddle pops. We have Eskimo Pies that are vanilla ice cream on a stick. Is that the same kind of thing?

Wisconsin is weird...we have definite pockets where people call things by different names.

Does Canada have certain areas where people have a stronger noticeable accent? I don't notice my hubby's anymore, I think we've blended a bit. Also, on Ventrillo (on an online game we play), we have a few Canadians in the group and I would never have known...no accent whatsoever. Oh, and that girl on the Bachelorette recently...didn't notice an accent on her either. There was ONE time she said ONE thing and I was like "oh yea, there it is!", but other than that I didn't notice anything.

well according to wiki Paddle Pops is an actual brand name of ice cream treats that they sell in Australia and New Zealand

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddle_Pop

but those are just pure chocolate.. not chocolate coated vanilla ice cream

I can definitely tell when people are from the West Coast in Canada as opposed to Ontario. Same with the East Coast. It's definitely more subtle than the US differences that's for sure though. I definitely noticed an accent on the Bachelorette.

Oh and I don't see the fascination with Harvey's either. It's probably one of my least fave chains in Canada.

don't think I have been to Harvey's...

I was more of a Wendy's girl when I lived in Canada..

I do not say oot and aboot!!!!!

Well, I wouldn't be so sure of that. Every Canadian does and the ones that say they don't are in denial  Nothing to be ashamed of!
