Hi guys...well I've paid my AOS fee and returned the AOS package. I got a false RFE (I think that's what you call it) because I hadn't sent in the DS 230 or paid that fee. Well, today I sent in the DS 230 package, but I still haven't paid the IV bill yet. Is that gonna be a problem? I was going to pay it later this week...

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

usually when you pay the IV bill you get a cover sheet with a barcode. did you send a cover sheet with barcode all together with DS-230? if no, then it would be a problem  call nvc and speak to rep to see what you can do now. good luck

You know what...there was a barcoded sheet that came w/ the false RFE that they said to include with the DS 230 package. This is what it basically looks like:

National Visa Center

ATTN. DR

31 Rochester Avenue, Ste 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801

(barcode)

(Checklist Letter Response)

CRI

(Beneficiary's name)

Do you think that this will suffice? I hope so

They will not accept the DS-230 until you have paid the fee. It will be returned to you in the next week or so. This happened to my friend she used the cover sheet from the RFE as she had not paid the IV bill and was hoping to pay it at the end of the month. NVC will not work on the DS-230 if you have not paid them to do so.

I would call NVC today and speak to an officer.

So I just looked on the US Postal Service website to see if my DS230 had been delivered, and it is showing that it has not been delivered eventhough it was supposed to have been delivered by 11:00 am today. This might have been a blessing in disguise! So, I just went online and paid the IV Bill so hopefully that will process in the next day or 2, around the same time they enter the DS 230 into the system. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
