Filing I-751 - concern from AOS?

I guess the issue is whether the I-751 instructions are clear. If it was optional to send affidavits, why would they state that at least two people should provide them? Will only one affidavit strike you out? Of course, nothing is straightforward with the USCIS

I am clear with what I want to do now. Thanks for all the help ;)

The way Folinskyinla explains it, affidavits are the weakest form of evidence and he recommends using them only when the couple have no other evidence. Other lawyers have other opinions. Personal statements are weak on their own--they prove nothing except that you had a friend who would write something down (that's why I liked the idea of linking them with some other evidence).

Either way, I'd say over the number of I-751 stories I've read, it's probably 50/50 on who sent/didn't send affidavits. I wouldn't discourage anyone from getting them if they wanted to. We though it over and didn't want to ask our friends to write something like that & we weren't penalized for it.

As ever, what to include on an I-751 is up to each couple. It's your petition, don't let anyone tell you differently than what you want to do. :)
