Hey Yo!

GG....you all done your ? (internship)? Do you have some time to relax and what are you doing these days besides getting ready for the big trip? How long are you staying over there?

I didn't sleep that much last night either ladies.

Hot as hell last night, all due to the thick humidity.

Just did some runnin around last night with hubby. Had a nice dinner at our fav place and watched a little comedy.

Tonight I look forward to coming home to an EMPTY apartment, relaxin and watching TV or a movie :D

I hope I am able to achieve my goal of vegetation.

Jess I only saw briefly your post about losing friends.

If you lost them thru death I am sorry to hear that but I have

also lost alot of friends along the way (good ones, I had been with for years and we raised our kids together and everything) and I just sometimes miss having them and other times I never even think of them because I have gotten so hard about "friends". I have always considered myself to be a good, trust worthy, caring, helpful friend but in the end all I ever got was judged and ditched during a time when I needed these people the most.

I cannot believe nearly 4 years have passed and I haven't even run into any of these women. I wonder if we saw each other on the street how they would be (approach me, smile and say hello or just turn and walk the other way)?

Actually my life is far less complicated. I am learning how to allow my hubby to be my bestest friend of all which for women, I think there is always at least one BFF we have that may even supercede the "Friendship" between husband and wife. The relationships are just completely different and I can't make my husband see the importance of a woman having her lady friend(s).

Day two of not smoking I keep telling myself it will get easier everyday. Have a good one everyone.

00190-daily-cartoons-quitting-smoki.gif

so....you're not smoking *anything*? :innocent:

I was supposed to quit when the whole house issue was settled but that didn't happen so now I need a new date.

Annie prayers are with you and I hope little Nour is feeling better soon. (F)

Jackie congrats on surviving the cutback! That's always a good achievement and you must be relieved!

We never played online games. Heck we barely were able to hold a conversation for more than 5 minutes when his internet cafe computer would freeze up on him. NOrmally we'd meet online, try to communicate, his computer would freeze, I'd call him worried, he'd say hangup I'll get back online, he'd go back online, we'd communicate for 5 minutes, his computer would freeze, etc. I can't imagine what would happen if we added online games to the mix! :P I'm soooo glad those days are over! I mean seriously although I loved and missed him sometimes it was more of a hassle to meet him online.

Terri I hope you feel better soon you've been sick for so long now! I lost the use of my left arm for almost an hour the other day. Scared the crapola out of me. Seeing the doc to go over the mri I had tomorrow morning so hopefully that will shed some light on things. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!!!

Morning to everyone I missed. I need coffee!!!!!

Hubby wants me to buy up some clothes for his sisters to take with him. (oh shhhhhhh............I'm not supposed to talk about the trip because of the evil eye thing :whistle::innocent: ). Anyhoo I'm at a loss as to what style to get them. From what I remember they wear jeans and long shirts but pretty ones. They're both drop dead gorgeous anyhow so they could wear a potato sack and look awesome but I want to get them something that's in style over in Cairo and I haven't a clue as to what that would be. I tried googling women Cairo but I just get pics of hijabs, etc. or of actresses wearing something they'd never wear like sleeveless dresses, etc. I need help!!!

Bridget, Iknow how you feel about sick and tired of being sick and tired. I feel like I never feel good anymore. Is that the fibromylgia? Man this sucks!

To Jess, hon, i know what you are goin thru. I've been down this road many times. My husband is always telling me to keep people at a distance so you don't get hurt. I am not like tht. If you are my friend, I'm faithful as a dog.

Anytime you need to talk girl, I be here!

GG-congrats on the smoking, I know how hard it can be. I quit 20 years ago. Best thing I ever did!

Good morning everyone. Prays and hugs going out to all that need it. (F)

I am draggin this morning myself....I am sooooooooo tired and just feel blah! :( More then anything just drained. This stupid waiting....it's sucking the life outa me. Lately, I've had this "I feel sorry for me" feeling lately and I don't like it at all.

At least I have Ramadan to look forward too. Although (again on the poor Sharifah tangent) Ramadan reminds me that this is my third one without Ahmed.....sigh. I need to snap outa this and remind myself of how truely blessed I really am. I need to enter this Ramadan with a pure heart and use this time as a time for self reflection and finding inner strength through Allah (swt).

Anyhow, enough of my complaining....have a lovely, safe and productive day (((everyone)))

Ihavequestions I hope you slept well. :P

Dorothy good to see you around.

Nagi got the water heater fixed or need another?

Bajih sometimes we would go online shopping together and pick out clothes for each other to wear. We wouldn't really be buying things just dreaming of what we'd be doing in real life together. He'd show me European brands I'd never heard of and that was always fun to see the styles he'd pick out for himself! Another suggestion is sometimes have the same meal at the same time.

Sara love the new pix! They are darling. Sorry you have so much on your plate. :star: You sound like super Mom!

Nawal sending you calm healing thoughts in the chaos. (F) Super Mom too! :star:

Kelly sorry you are worn out as well. I get emotional on that little bit of sleep. Waleed understands now I require a certain amount of sleep for a fully functioning Olivia. I hope you make the adjustment just fine when school starts. Here is to super Mom three! :star:

Maureen I second that!

GG I am so proud of you for quitting! Keep it up. After working at a hospital for so long I know how difficult the struggle is to give it up. Now if I could just get Waleed to give it up again.

jJ Congrats on keeping your job! And awesome Farm Town waterfall! Thx for showing us.

Donna here here! I've done some of that myself. Maybe it's time to buy things and make a waterfall. I mead you're at level 34 already and it's the new peak.

Turia I hope you feel better soon! (F)

disconnection I like that suggestion. I always meant to do that with him as well.

Amanda thanks and good luck with the job interviews for you and Hubby!

Have a good day Paris Heart!

Jess I saw that on fb! Sorry for your losses but hopefully if you've been friends that long they will come around. Hubby had some trouble like that with a friend he's had for 15 years. Hubby isn't worried about it because he knows how that friend is and that nothing could really come between them after so long. I have to say though sometimes it is time to let people go from our lives and it is for the better.

Sandrila I hope you achieve your goal as well of vegging in the empty apartment and finally getting some rest since you didn't sleep so well last night. (L)

Doodlebugg funny story. That's kinda how it is for communication from Egypt. I didn't really realize till I was there for sometime on the other end and before it was always so frustrating from my end then I felt the frustration from the other end of disconnection. Your upcoming trip also sounds wonderful! As for what's in style it depends on the age of the female and their level of modesty. If younger the style is the same as you said with long skirts. The skirts are either blue jean or corduroy with cargo pockets of some kind and they are tight at the hips to show their thinness but also to stay in place for where the shirt will fall as to not show skin in the midline. The shirts are always long sleeve but they mix western wear and long sleeve all the time. I saw a girls in the summer with the tight body suits to cover the skin but long sundresses over that. The hijab's are also a big hit when they are colorful and flirty with cool designs and some sparkle. I've seen all ranges of sparkle such as embroidered flowers on a corner, or sparkle in thin gold lines and iridescent material, or small sparkle throughout the material like little dots in a twilight sky. The other thing I notice that is really popular is long stands of colorful fake pearls necklaces. They match it with their clothing and tie the strand in a knot but I saw a lot of that fake pearl necklaces with big pearls not small ones and wrapping their hair up and back in the colorful flirty hijab instead of covering their necks and shoulders. If for older more mature women then it's traditional black, not see through, and real gold jewelry. For younger preteen girls similar to above but more young girl modest with lots of layers at different angles on the skirts or long jean pants with embroidery at the bottom and simple silver rings.

Sharifah  I sympathize! At least you have Ramadan to look forward too like you said. :D

Hi Jeanne!

Happy Tuesday to Everyone else!

I'm off to Boise today to see my friend and get a hair cut finally! Waiting on a roommate situation to pan out and if I hear nothing soon I'll start looking elsewhere.
