Hello everyone,

My AOS interview was this morning at 9.00 in Albany, NY. Since we moved to NH from NY, we weren't sure if they would interview with me. When I called uscis last week an officer said to me i shouldn't go to interview because we moved to different state and they won't interview with me. I was very confused. I called uscis again and talked to another person. She said I can go, but it will be up to the interviewer who may not interview with me. or If i don't go they can reshedule. My husband and I decied not to take any risk and after 3.5 hours drive we arrived to the immigration office at 08.45 we were called at 9.15 The interviewer seemed very serious at the beginning, but a few minutes after he was talkative and very nice.. He said technically i should be interviewed in NH but since we already went there he would interview with me. it took 20 min or so. Very easy and smooth,.I wasn't feeling very prepared, but he loved everything that i handed.. He asked prood of bonafide marriage.. I gave him the rent lease agreement that has both our names, the document that shows i am under my husband's health insurance, we didn't have utilities bill on both name but i gave him the electric bill on my name, cable bill on hubby's name which show the same address.. we just opened a joint account which has only $100..i didn;t think it would work, but showed him both our debit cards.. he said 'good '.. btw am 5.5 months pregnant.. I showed him the baby's ultrasound pic that says 'i am a boy' :) I handed him a few wedding pics, our wedding invitation, a few pics here we were taken with hubby's family etc.. He made the copy of all of them.. and put in my folder.. He didn't ask any question about how we met etc.. He just wanted me to confirm the info that i submitted on the I-485 Form.. He had everything in my folder that I sent 4 months ago with the application. He didn't ask me any document.. I showed my EAD card before he asked..he said he would keep it because i won't need it.. and he said he approved my application. GC will be in the mail in a few weeks.. I will need remove the condition 3 months before the GC card expires which is valid 2 years.. and it is very unlikely to call us for the interview again.. That was all.. and he got our new address and changed on the form and said GC will come to the new address..

I wanted share AOS experience and to thank all who helped me with my questions.. I am so glad to be member of this website..I've done everything in my country and here without an attorney and everything went very well.. Thanks again to VJ family..I will be writing again in 2 years when we remove the condition :) but I am always here if anyone asks anything that i can help! I am so happy this paperwork and immigration stuff is over at least for 2 years :)

Best of luck to all!!!

Congratulations on the interview & your little miracle from heaven!!! Could I ask you a question? My husband arrived on a K-3 visa. We sent the DS-3025 with his AOS packet. His AOS interview is coming up in September. The interview letter requests that we bring the I-693 in a sealed envelope(if not already submitted). He never got an RFE for this. Did you send the I-693? Thank you for any help you can give.

Congratulations !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
