Having no health insurance is not a good reason for her to see a good doctor, in my humble opinion. At most, it will cost $100. With so many generics on the market, a U.S.-approved birth control medication could cost no more than $4 per month (Wal-Mart's price for most generics). Once she gets her EAD and SSN, you can add her to your employer coverage.

my wife still has not added me in her emplyer coverage.she says it will cost a lot of money.is she telling truth

Yes, she is probably right, although some employers provide some percentage of the cost of having family coverage. Last I knew, the full cost of having coverage for a couple, with a decent plan, was $10,000 versus about $4,000 for employee-only. Many employers will contribute all or part of the cost of the employee's insurance, but none toward the other $6,000.

Probably true. Adding my wife and two children nearly tripled my premiums. What can you do? I will be happy when the USCIS (or similar government agency) takes over our healthcare and it is FREE!!!! Won't you?

k12009, if your wife is a Christian woman, I recommend the book "Intimate Issues. 21 Questions Christian Women Ask About Sex." It addresses questions (with scriptural backing) such as How Do I Shift into Sexual Gear?, What Do I Do When I Don't Want to Do It?, and How Can Sex Go From Boring to Sizzling? The married couples' ministry at my church has a ladies' book club on this book.

Since this thread was moved from the Off-Topic forum, I have gone through and removed the most egregious (means extreme or outrageous) off topic comments. Please do not continue to post any more off-topic comments and keep your responses relevant to the discussion.

This explained a lot. I kept seeing posts quoted that I had never seen. I thought my eyes were deceiving me.

I didn't have sex for more than 7 years while married to a woman who had her own problems

which resulted in her being irrationally angry and totally frigid. In the tradition of the men in

my family I stuck with her for much longer than I should have, thinking my good example

would make her come to her senses and see that I wasn't the enemy.

This is going on our bedroom wall so as to remind my hubby that it could be worse every time he starts complaining about only having sex every other day or so. :P

Microgynon is a very old generation type of birth control afaik. It also gives migraines and pigmentation along with a lot of other side effects.

The newer ones like Yasmin are better. They say it's third generation birth control. It controls your period, lessens cramps. It's more expensive than microgynon but I think it's worth it.

I'm confused about the talk of needing to go to a doctor. Unless I misread breezing through the posts, do you need a prescription for birth control there? Over here, birth control is pretty much OTC.

We had no problem for the past 5 years she was in GUYANA and I would travel every 90 days to see her problem started once she came to the USA in May and she started taking the pill full time

I'm very tempted to agree with you on this one, but there 'could' be other reasons too.

I'd be EXTREMELY suspicious as she lost interest after the marriage, but 5 years is a long time to con someone

(not that I'm saying it's not possible, people go to great lengths to get into the US).

If I were the OP, I'd be asked her some serious questions, and demanding some pretty serious answers!!

Maybe here is the problem to take a pill for 1 month, it is not the same as taking it for a period of time when you visited there.

Go for her SSN, if they say to you the same stupid thing at the office ask to talk to a supervisor, most employees doesn't know about SSN for K1's and talk to her before it is too late for both of you.
