I told my hubby that there is a possibility that files get lost at the service centers, but he doesn't believe it. Can anyone confirm this so I can show him that it DOES happen.

Thanks

Love is patient and kind;

it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;

love does not keep a record of wrongs;

love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

Love is eternal.

Yes happens. Ours did for 2 months between CSC and NVC and it was an approved military expedite too. When I say 2 months is because some officer at CSC finally took pity on our situation (deployment) and helped us in locating it. Without his help it probably would still be lost somewhere.

Thanks, I scouted the city looking for the most fantastic looking area for our wedding since we went small. How you like the bouquet (made it myself, after I found out they want $120-150. for one) I bought all the stuff needed for $40 and made my buttoneer, her bouquet and a nice corsage for my mother.

Yes it does happen. I hope this was just a general discussion and you don't mean to say that your files got lost!

Well, I was crying at him yelling that he should call becuz our files are prolly lost. But oke, he got me to calm down.... Then he said, it's not possible, files don't get lost. So I wanne prove to him that it does happen...... '.'

If it does get lost. Will they at any time contact you? Or in some cases you have to find out for yourself?

Waiting can be stressing at times. Your hubby can call and you can also check the time-lines of other VJers who applied for the same visa so that you can know that you are not alone. We wish you a speedy process.

Not any more... :whistle:

Seriously - yes, files can be lost - they do count them (and have to account for them) - there is a bar-code assigned to each one - this is why we're able to see 'touches' when and if they happen (because the bar code is being scanned and this scan is recorded).

You're still within projected guidelines for processing - even from VJ statistics - it would not surprise me to hear you received some good news very soon. :thumbs:

Hang in there... try not to put too much stock in watching other same-month-filers getting approved before you - we're all just a small % of those who have active cases at USCIS...
