We have misunderstanding sometimes but we are able to fix it before we go to bed. We both agreed not to sleep with the problem and we always talk about it.

hello everyone!

it may not be a visa related forum, but it is very much relevant to our individual lives...

talk about how are we handling/resolving the situation of having disagreement, argument and to avoid conflict with our love ones...

sometimes in our marriage or in a relationship, we and our spouses/fiancees have a little disagreements, arguments, and conflict that turns to a big fight that some would abuse their partner verbally that leads them to hit each other physically, which is wrong and most/all of us don't agree...

when my husband and i having a argument, we prefered to be left alone and give each other some times (we call it time out..lol) to be quite, think and calm in order to avoid conflict as much as possible. after a little while, we come back (from being quite), talk about it, apologize and back in each other's arms again and im glad that in one year of our marriage, so we never had any conflict nor will have a fight. however, during this little thing, im quite whereas my husband is a talker one. lol!

what about you....how do you and your partner resolve your arguments?

me and my hubby never really had an argument or fight...but sometimes i made my hubby mad hehhehehe...like ignoring him...he hates being ignored...or i get sad out of nothing especially things that he didnt do...

my hubby is the talker and i just cried and just keep quite like a lil girl hehhehehe...then when he is done talking i always asked him are you still mad at me...then he will say "you big baby getting sad for nothing" and we will just laugh...

when it comes to like that its just like a man and a lil girl having conflict so it doesnt really go to a serious conflict...thats how me and my hubby are.

before i always wanted to have the last word and tried to win every argument. however i realized that it wasnt healthy and it wasnt right. now, i have learned to deal with arguments fairly and i dont try to win every argument anymore, there are no prizes anyway.

Good policy. Sometimes, even as couples go to sleep there still might be some anger.... our preacher said couples that stay together say Good Night to each other even if they are still mad at each other.

Preacher didn't say anything about a kiss after "good night" but probably not a bad idea.

Life..... Nobody gets out alive.

I talk too much when we argue and he ignores me which pissed off. And then we kiss and make up in bed. :star:

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

Try this little "trick" I learned in a "pre-marriage" class with my college girlfriend (although we never even got engaged) - HOLD HANDS DURING AN ARGUMENT. You will find it's really difficult to have a "hurtful" disagreement and you tend to use softer words and have more respect for each other and the other person's viewpoint.

5/20/08 Met through a mutual friend in Medellin

7/25/09 11th Visit Met in Panama

9/19/09 12th Visit Met in Medellin for Dial Del Amor y Amistad

6/23-7/21 Gathered paperwork and applied for I-129F 7/24/09 USCIS acknowledges Receipt of I-129F application NOA1

9/28/09 NOA2 received!!! Only 66 days! 10/02/09 NSC Received and completed Application and sent to Bogota

10/09/09 Embassy sent out Package 3 10/15/09 Package 3 not received - downloaded forms from website.

10/16/09 Submitted DS-2100 and Ds-230 to apply for interview date. 10/23/09 Received Interview date (had to call DOS)

uhmmm first want to say to the person who posted this thread.. thank u...well, its very interesting and couples should check out on this thread hehehe...

we don't really disagree on things but if we got a problem, one posted here they never go to bed and sleep with a problem... its one of our agreement.... think i am the talker    coz he just keep quite and he always understands me.. wow glad he has that patience on me.. we both always says what we want and what we don't like that's why maybe we are not fighting.... and one thing more... why we dont fight?... BCOZ I AM NOT HIDING ANYTHING TO MY FIANCE.. AND VICE VERSA... THAT'S ONE I REALLY LOVE ABOUT MY FIANCE... HE IS NOT LIKE OTHERS WHO HIDE THINGS.... we admit or not keeping secrets to our half is one of the main source of disagreement... in a relationship there should be LOVE, TRUST, UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER....   I CAN SAY I HAVE A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY FIANCE...

well, i lived with my husband for only 12 days (after our wedding and really anxious to live with him very soon) so i dont have any say about arguments/disagreements (physically). does arguments on chat counts..? hehehe...but we made a promise that we won't go to bed (or sign-off) with unresolved issues...because that would be a long night then.

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

I'm glad for us that we found these exemplary men to share our lifetime with. I can hardly wait to get married.

Please include me in your prayers. I really want to be with him again soon. We are still waiting for the NOA2. It'll be three months on the 29th since he sent the I-129F on May 29. I'm sure you had your share of the waiting period for the K1 Visa back then.

im under CR1 so i dont really have that much information with regards your query. based on the other's timelines, some of them here were approved 3 months later after they received their NOA1. but its a case basis...dont worry sis, yours will come soon. just hang in there...

you'll be in my prayer...

God bless!
