I was checking out Igor's list for CSC and I noticed that there was less applicants for June and July than for May. May had 100 and June about 68. Are there less people applying do you think because of the recession or is it just that people fill in their timelines late? Just curious. :)

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

You'll see more people filling in timelines everyday, the list will continue to grow. There are some slower months however for whatever reason. March vs. April was fairly significant last time I checked. I think also that the summers are a bit slower as people are spending time on vacations together and wait until vacation time is over to file.

It seems like it may be a little of both recession and people not yet filling in timelines. There also MIGHT be a lot of couples applying in August-October as the summer ends, lovers part ways and people realize how hard it will be to go on without marrying that special someone. The last time I saw my sweetie was June 7th and it took just under a month and a half to file.

Tonight I came up with mixed results using the VJ web queries when I did it by NOA1 rec'd date and filed date. There were 42 filers for June when I sorted by ALL petitions and Date Sent, but 57 in there when I sorted by ALL petitions and NOA1 Rec'd Date.

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

BABY GIRL BORN JULY 2011!!!

Yes. The DHS reports that visa applications for which a visa number is immediately available (K visas and CR-1s for example) are WAY down compared to the last few years. Other types of visa applications are WAY up. The economical situation is worse almost everywhere than it is here, MUCH worse in many areas (because they don't have our secret weapon, Barack Obama to save them) and people would love to come here for the economic opportunity (now there's something new)
