Hi guys,

I am sitting here panicking, a panick freak I am. I have few questions. I needed to know if i need to wait for my NVC letter to go and get Police Clerance Certificate or can i apply it ahead of time? Do i need both passport office Police Clerance Certificate and District Police?? Do i go to Police Commissioner's office to get the PCC??:unsure: ??

I also want to know how long does it take between package 3, 4 and interview?

Any tips will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

its not going to be of any advantage to get these things early. just wait for your p3 and then go get your pcc/medical. they will give you enough time between p3/p4 for everything.

you can use the above 'timeline' feature to figure out how long it takes to get p3/p4. did you get your NAO2?

can you please add your timeline to your signature like how alot of us here have. thanks.

The secret is to stay ahead of the game whenever possible, this way you're a lot less stressed. Never wait till last minute unless you have to. Here in VJ, you learn a lot about 'what' to expect. which is one reason it exists, to help prepare others going through these immigration processes.

Anyway, I don't know about others but my fiance submitted his passport in Ghaziabad for the PCC on the 17th of July and now here it is the 25th of August and still the website shows it is not being recieved back yet. 5 Weeks it's taken so far, just like the last time when he had to have it done for his first interview back in 2008. So what I'm suggesting is that you get started (if you haven't already) on getting it done as soon as possible.

*The 'local' background check didn't take long at all.

Note: My fiance did go to the Police Superintendants office and inquire just yesterday about it and they said they had completed the background check and mailed it to the passport office on the 22nd. So hopefully, he'll get it soon.

Good Luck to you and your loved one!

Take Care.

Update on Passport PCC from Ghaziabad Passport Office:

According to the websites 'Check Status' page, My fiance's PCC was just recieved back to the Passport office in Ghaziabad on 7th of Sept. It said that it would be dispatched on the 28th of September. About time too. It took a little more than 7 weeks total to reach this status. From July 17, 2009 thru September 7, 2009. 'Two weeks' longer than it did last year in 2008.

I seriously advise to get this started as soon as you can. After you recieve the NOA2 would be a good time to start.
