I am getting everything ready to file I 130 for my parents. Just want to make sure i am doing it right. As far as i understand, i have to send for each of my parent separatly.

Here is what i have:

For my mom:

1. Form I-130

2. check for $355.00

3. copy of my US Naturalization certificate

4. copy of my passport

5. copy of my birth certificate

6. copy of my mom's passport

For my dad:

1. Form I-130

2. check for $355.00

3. copy of my US Naturalization certificate

4. copy of my passport

5. copy of my birth certificate

6. copy of my mom's passport

7. copy of my parents's marriage certificate

ps. one question, do i need to send my marriage certificate? on I 130, they didn't ask anything about my husband's info. just want to make sure i am doing it right.

and also, after i send it. what's the next step.

10/27/09 - Approved (approval emails received)

11/05/09 - Rec. both NOA2 in mail. called NVC get case # for mom's case and emails regd.

11/06/09 - called NVC get case # for dad's case and emails regd.

11/09/09 - Received my mom's DS3032 & ASO bill via email

11/10/09 - Paid ASO bill $70

11/12/09 - Received my dad's DS3032 & returned Completed DS3032 forms (By email)

11/12/09 - Send Completed paper DS3032 forms (From China)

11/16/09 - Received IV Bills (By email)

11/18/09 - Paid IV Bills ($400 each)

11/24/09 - I864 mailed via Priority mail

11/30/09 - I864 delivered to NVC

01/14/10 - DS230 mailed via Priority mail

01/19/10 - DS230 delivered to NVC

02/02/10 - Login failed

02/09/10 - forwarded to GUZ

04/26/10 - received interview letter scheduled for 06/17/10 in Guangzhou

Parents passport copies are not requried for USCIS, If you want can send them. One more thing I will say add copy of marriage certificate with your Mom Petition. Just to provide everything...

Check this Instructions for I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. I got from USCIS. I will say also read Instructions for I-130 will give you complete info and will help you what you need or if anything missing.

Step 1. Fill Out Form I-130

2. If extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, indicate the item number, and date and sign each sheet.

1. Type or print legibly in black ink.

General Instructions

Translations. Any foreign language document must be accompanied by a full English translation that the translator has certified as complete and correct, and by the translator's certification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign language into English.

If you are a permanent resident, you must file your petition with a copy of the front and back of your permanent resident card. If you have not yet received your card, submit copies of your passport biographic page and the page showing admission as a permanent resident, or other evidence of permanent resident status issued by USCIS or the former INS.

4. A copy of your unexpired U.S. passport; or

5. An original statement from a U.S. consular officer verifying that you are a U.S. citizen with a valid passport.

6. If you do not have any of the above documents and you were born in the United States, see instructions under Page 3, "What If a Document Is Not Available?"

2. A copy of your naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship issued by USCIS or the former INS.

What Documents Do You Need to Show That You Are a Permanent Resident?

What Documents Do You Need to Show That You Are a U.S. Citizen?

Copies. If these instructions state that a copy of a document may be filed with this petition, submit a copy. If you choose to send the original, USCIS may keep that original for our records. If USCIS requires the original, it will be requested.

2. A child and you are the mother: Submit a copy of the child's birth certificate showing your name and the name of your child.

A child born out of wedlock and you are the father: If the child was not legitimated before reaching 18 years old, you must file your petition with copies of evidence that a bona fide parent-child relationship existed between the father and the child before the child reached 21 years. Just to add, that if you have changed your family name since your birth (like when you gor married) you need to include a copy of the marriage certificate with each parents application.
