Hi all. Well, I sent my I-864 and the DS-230's today to the NVC. After the paperwork gets approved, I'm off to Vietnam to be with my wife, to help her finish the paperwork and bring her to HMC for the medical and the interview. She lives about 400 miles from HMC.

Any suggestions what I should bring with me so when she has her interview, she will be well prepared. I know HMC is a difficult embassy to deal with. When she had her interview last year for the I-129f, they didn't look at many pictures or documents she brought with her. Thank you in advance for your help.

I hope that you front loaded your submission with everything that you feel is important for them to review, especially your timeline. As we have seen the items brought to the interview are just given a cursory review. If there are questions that the CO has developed while reviewing the file, they have created a blu slip asking for the additional evidence/proof. At the interview is NOT the time to introduce a lot of new information.

Hi. By front loading , I take it you meant when I sent in the I-130, did I talk about when we met, how we met? Yes I did talk about that in great detail, and I included about my 2 trips to VN. I wanted to know if I should print out every time we have chatted on Yahoo IM? I have saved every conversation since October, 2007. Also, what about phone logs, pictures, etc? Last time they didn't look at many of the items she brought in to the interview.
