Hello dear friends,

I am a new user on VisaJourney and i guess this is the best site for all kinds of Immigration information.

I am a naturalized US citizen and applied for my wife's I-130 in January and recieved a letter from USCIS on Jan 06, 2009 and was advise it has been sent to VSC for processing. But its more than 7 months now and never heard anything after that...we are getting kinda worried. Websites show average processing time is 5 months for VSC so whats goin on with my petition. Can someone guide me what to do and whats the whole process..

Thanks in advance.

Have you called VSC to tell them that you fall outside of the posted processing times?

Have you checked your status online - I'm seeing some people getting approved without actually receiving any update from USCIS.

Good luck.

i know what are you talking about it seems like this processing taking forever , will let you know why it takes that long , because of the security check levels so thats why mine took around 7 month either just keep calling USCIS and see , then move to the stage that making your Congressman or senator involve into it by calling them or make an appointment to visit his office and requesting INFO under your behave , its just a game of time everything will be ok Good Luck
