Hey :star:

we just started collecting proof of our relationship and are wondering how much proof we nee do to have?

so our question is:

HOM MUCH PROOF DO YOU HAVE??

how many pictures, letters, emails...etc...

could you please list all the proof of your relationship, so we can get an idea of how much we should have?

and our second question:

is it possible to have "too much prove"? could that influence our case in a bad way?

F+P :)

I sent in 5 photos with the K-1 petition documents. 3 were for the proof of having met and 2 were my front-loading for the proof of an ongoing relationship, which is required at the interview.

For the interview, I will send a log summary of all of our emails, virtually every day to every other day for the first few months.

Plus a couple of emails printed out. One of us discussing things like schools and such here and the other a lovey one showing our love and relationship to each other.

A complete log summary of the tons of text messages we have sent back and forth plus a summary of the phone calls that I have made to her. These days about 3-5 times a day.

A complete log summary of the Skype sessions we have made including the time period spent on the session. This morning we Skyped for nearly 5 hours.

A copy of the pre-registration for preschool for the little one.

Copy of the Women's Day gift statement and photos she took with the gift.

Copy of the FedEx statement for the Welcome to America book I sent plus a photo of her with the book. She will bring her copy of the FedEx receipt with her to the interview.

Samples of video snapshots I took during our Skype sessions, of her and of the little one (who will also be attending the interview).

We only met the one time so there are not a lot of photos but we keep in touch virtually daily and have the proof of that.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Hi June! I'm working on my I-130 and all the rest of it! Hopefully I'm sending it all this Wed. I'm probably overdoing it, but I'm putting in exhibits. They include letters (okay, my story is different-we met in 1988 and wrote letters for years and reconnected last year. Lucky I saved them!), emails after reconnecting (I have 3700 to choose from! Putting in a few each month), a few cards (we haven't sent many), receipts from four trips to see each other (again, we kept EVERYTHING-plane tickets, credit card receipts, you name it!), but I think the coolest thing I'm doing tomorrow is having a camera store put together a book with photos. Not a photo album, but one of those cool picture books. These will include pics from when we first met in 1988 to the present-and wedding photos. I'm putting every photo in that we've taken together, including with our families). I also have a letter from my daughter and one of my friends. In fact, there's nothing I'm not giving them. They told me on the phone that too much is better. So...I'm going for it! Good luck!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

We sent in pictures from our engagement brunch with my wife's parents, from our civil wedding, and from our Christian ceremony. Of course we had our civil marriage certificate. My wife brought all kinds of additional proof to the interview by the CO did not ask for anything else. The only questions they asked were "How did you meet?" and "Where does your husband live?" Of course, in countries considered to have high marriage fraud, the more evidence, the better.

for us, we included a couple of photo's from each visit,m pic of us with family & friends.. copies of my plane tickets, letters, cards, I didn't have any phone logs only becasuse the way my phone services is, I don't get detailed billing it just shows internaitonal charges, but no number.. I'm thinking this should be enough.
