Sending in DS-230 (have I done this right?)

I'm just about to send in DH's DS-230 application and I want to make sure I've done everything correctly. As far as I understand, I only need to mail off the DS-230 Part I (i.e. the first two pages). I then keep pages 3 & 4 until DH goes for his interview.

Additionally, I don't need to send in any of the required documents (i.e. birth certificates, police certificates, photographs, etc.). Those we just need to bring along to the interview. Correct?

I'm probably being overly cautious about everything, but I just want to make sure we're doing everything right. Thanks in advance!

I can't vouch for London, but in Denmark, we had to send in Part I and Part II, you just don't sign part II until your interview. We also were required to bring the documents to the interview. Our packet came with specific instructions that told us this though. Did yours not?

I have just posted our DS-230 (doing DCF in London) and I included all 4 pages. I am not sure what you are supposed to do, but I read somewhere that part I and part II should not be separated. I hope I am right. I guess i'll find out soon enough.

Also you must NOT include the other documents. You must bring them and a copy to the interview.

Good luck!

Oops! I only sent Part I like it stated. I wish they would have one set of rules for all consulates because it gets so confusing. I'll hear back from the Embassy if they want the unsigned Part II. Nice, another thing to worry about. I thought it was all going so smoothly. HAHA.

I only sent Part I and it went through fine, don't worry about it :)

To the OP - you only send your DS230 and DS2001. All other documents are kept until the interview when you take them (and a copy) to the Embassy. They check the originals and return them to you while keeping the copies you supplied.
