I believe Zidane reacted similarly many years ago when a Saudi player made fun of his origins too.

His other head butt I was referring to was actually in a Juventus (his former Italian club) Champions League game in 2000 against Kientz from Hamburg, he got suspended 5 games that time.

The Saudi Arabia guy incident wasn't a head butt, I think he either stomped or kicked the guy in the back or something, can't remember too well right now.

10th May 2005 I130 packet sent to TEXAS forwarded to Cali.

12th May 2005 NOA1 Received date.

14th May 2005 delivered at 4:34 am LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607.

23rd May 2005 NOA1 notice date.

27th May 2005 NOA1 hits the mailbox.

13th August 2005 po po form mailed off with £10 cheque.

2nd September 2005 po po letter arrives.

3rd September a 4 week visit to GA assuming i get allowed in.

30th september 130 days on I130 and counting.

(Hopefully i finally get a wedding ring today too)

So he was taunted and retaliated and got carded in the final game of his career. I don't think a stomach head butt was worth it......if you are going to go down like that, then why not step on his groin or something equally evil and long lasting? :D

But I agree trash talking is part of sports and players at the championship level have to learn how to control their emotions. You see it all the time in US basketball and football.

The game of football is a game of passion. It is a game that people really do give their all. Eric Cantona and Zidane and many of the truly GREAT players have had a temper. I have a temper. I am also for the most part very calm. The problem is that when under stress and strain and during such moments of intense passion people do react, whenever people react under intense conditions there is a chance of an over reaction. All sport (at least all sports worth watching) have this element. It is a big part of the game`s fire. I do not condone actions but words are actions too. As for Cantona the fan he kicke dhad ran down 20 flights of steps to shout abuse at Cantona. He of course didn`t think Cnatona would do anything. Well i totally condone not taking ###### from people, sure it is "better" to avoid violence and after the passion and intensity has died down Zidane and Cantona probably regret their actions(at least partly).

Judging them for it is rather ugly to me. It was just a one mad moment in a career of greatness.

It is still not nearly as ugly as their actions, just my opinion of course. When you are a public person and you reach certain levels you should exercise self control even more...1 billion people were watching the game live yesterday. As for Zidane, his career had way more than just ONE mad moment...
