Has anyone had this happen?

I woke up this morning and had a notice from CRIS in my email that my husband's case has been sent to the local office to be scheduled for an interview. He filed in January and had a successful interview in April from the Memphis office. My husband called USCIS last week because he did not get his oath letter yet, and USCIS told him that his case is in line to be scheduled for the oath ceremony.

I hope this is a mistake from USCIS and they sent us the wrong notice. Has anyone recieved a 2nd interview after passing the first one?

Thank you for your help!

It may be that the online update was incorrectly entered and what he will receive is the oath letter, not the interview letter. I've never heard of anyone having to do a second interview, especially if they passed the first one. Let us know what the letter says when it arrives.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thank you!!! I hope this means they are sending the oath letter. It fits the time frame of when the Immigration Officer said we should get one. Maybe the phone call to USCIS got us an update on CRIS as this is not usual on N400 apps?? Anyway, I will update when I find out. I feel better now with this response.

I recieved the same letter from CRIS today stating the same thing..it should be that they are late in updating the system, the last time I checked my status was a couple of days ago which states they just recieved my application eventhough I already had my interview. I definitely think that their system is not accurate.

Hope you'll recieve you're husband's oath letter soon...

Good Luck

Update for CRIS 2nd interview notice:

My husband got his oath letter this morning!!! I want to let the people know that had the same thing happen not to worry.

Yeah!!

Congrats!! it seems that the online status is really messed up. Often times, when the file is touched or worked on, there's an automatic email or status change and many times it does not reflect the applicant's actual status so please trust the physical paper first, if you get a weird change on the online status, wait for the letter or call USCIS, it may just be a system error.
