I just received my NOA1 on August 4, but i'm a bit confused.

Now my question is, does it exclude me from getting an RFE and how do i find out if they have cashed out the $455 i sent them?

Is this what they call the NOA1 approval?

They already sent me a receipt/case number, but no priority date.

The NOA1 is more like a letter confirming that they have received your application. If you paid by check, you will know if they cashed out the check by looking at your account. If you used money order, you probably wont know.

Use the case number to check your status online. Now you wait.

You wont know if you have an RFE until they get to your file. Good luck!

I checked online when they cashed the check. It showed cashed under my bank account and a week later I received my NOA1.

My case number is in the system. Curious too how long it takes to know if you'll get a RFE or not.

Your NOA-1 simply means they have received your petition and cahsed your cheque, no approval yet and not sure what priority date you are looking for.

We waited 4 months to get our RFE, there is no way to tell when/if you will get an RFE until your case has been reviewed by an adjudicator and that depends on the work load of the service center your petition is at.

Always said NOA1 means Note of Arrival.....
