Hello people, i visited my fiance in peru to marry her, had all documents notarized and legalized, but i didnt know i had to legalize my birth certificate in a peruvian consolate in the U.S.A. So i couldnt marry her in peru. So my question is, could i use the documents that i notarized and legalized in peru as evidence that i intended to marry my fiance in peru when i start my k1 visa process? I wanted to go for a k3 visa but i coulnt marry my fiance do to not having my birth certificate legalized.

Hi, for K1 all the info you need is in the guides above, direct link here.

I'm sure some of your documents will be useful but better check first the requirements for K1.

Safe journey :)

Intent to marry is a good. That evidence is required at the embassy however so I wouldn't worry about it too much yet.
