But I am a gentleman when we go out, do open the car door for her, and push her chair in when we sit at the table. Any other time, she can open her own door and sit herself.

She was too quick for me getting out of the car, but did open the door for her when we got back. Did manage to push her seat in at the dining table. She always reminds me to leave a nice tip, 25% now!

Only tips I ever got was on my paper route as a kid, for 365 days would put the paper between the storm and main doors so it would be dry and easy to find. Kid I took the route from would put a rubber band on it and toss it anywhere in the yard, even during the rain. Would get a buck for 365 days of faithful service at Christmas time. For the couple of minutes the waiter spent with us can these people be making 200-300 bucks an hour? Restaurant was packed.

I tipped an auto glass installer once, did an exception job of installing a window on my car, he almost had a heart attack. Never was tipped before. More accustomed to being b!tched at for taking too long.

I tipped the trash men when I was doing work on the house and had a lot more rubbish than usual for several weeks. They were most appreciative. The do a tough, thankless job.
