Hi all,

I have searched for information regarding my question and found none thus I must post...

I have filed I-129F for my Filipino fiancee about a month ago. She is currently working in Dubai UAE and I was wondering if this will be a problem once the time comes for her to do the medical part and interview. Will she have to go back to the Phils to get these things done? Anyone have experience with a similar situation?

thanks a lot...

The medical/interview etc will take place at the Embassy/Consulate responsible for the country the beneficiary is currently (legally) residing. So, no, she does not have to go back to her home country for this.

thank you for your reply, this is good news. One more thing, do you or anyone else know if the police report, medical history, and other documents can be retrieved from her home country by family members who live there on her behalf?

thanks.

One option for you to do is ask your fiancee to request her relatives to make inquiries on her behallf from various agencies if they would allow a proxy with an authorization letter in getting the necessary documents. Should that be allowed, your fiance could always snail mail an original copy of her authorization letter with signature.

thanks for the info, here is something i found in another post.

This link http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/reciproc...ocity_3650.html contains the following:

Applicants abroad can obtain documents from the National Statistics Office (NSO) through the “e Census” website www.ecensus.com.ph or by calling NSO Information Center at (02)737-1111. There are fees for these services.

Documents from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) can be obtained from Philippine embassies abroad.

Has anyone ever used this www.ecensus.com.ph website to obtain a birth cert or police clearance?

thanks

Hi Simbolo,

I am from the Philippines but working in Thailand. My fiance also filed for I-129 F for me and I did all my paper works without going back home to the Philippines. For my NBI/police clearance , Birth cert and other documents, I asked my relatives back home to process the papers for me. I just sent them an authorization letter, copy of passport, id pic and money of course.

Now, Im just waiting for the interview date. Good luck to all of us.

Packet 3 Recd****** 2009-08-01 (31 days from NOA2)
