I have read somewhere that as soon as I know that your case is recieved at the Consulate, I can download all the forms from the USA embassy's web site and send the reply without awaiting the packet 3 (in case of having all the required documenets collected) so the process can be speed it. Is it possible? Can there be any problem at doing it?

The K1 precess took us 9 long months.

It has been done before for London, I know. Not sure about Madrid.

If you KNOW that the embassy has received your file and put it into their system, then you could probably send it without getting packet 3.

I wouldn't expect it to be there yet, it took 2 weeks after the date on NOA2 for London to get our file.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

You can call the Dept of State (202 number, option 1, option 0) to find out when the embassy has processed your case. It probably wouldn't do you any good to send them anything before they process it.

In Jamaica, once they process it, you can send in your DS230-pt1 (by person, mail or email, as long as it's signed) & ask to be scheduled for an interview. You can even request a particular month/week/day. I asked for Sept 7 and if that wasn't available, any Monday or Tuesday. They gave me Monday, Sept 14.

Hi NatPatBen

I received my I129f approval, My fiance is in Jamaica. Can you help me with this. He is to wait until NVC forward the case to the US Embassy in Kingston and when they do that he should submit DS230 part 1 before receiving his Paket 3 ? When is he to turn in all the info that we will gather up ? And what should I send to him to add to his paper work? I am so nervous and excited.

I will be going to visit him in April to drop of our son and I want to make sure I have all the right paper work.
