Just thought we could start a thread and see when people start gettin their Visa's from Cairo. I have recieved 2 responses from the Embassy asking for his Passport and one said his AP was over on 7/24/09. I called DOS just now and was told he was still in AP. : :blink: I tend to believe the Embassy though since they have asked for his Passport twice.

11/25/07 - Engaged..

1/16/08 - 1st Visit..

2/28/08 - 2nd Visit..

6/03/08 - 3rd Visit..

9/10/08 - 4th Visit..

7/14/08 - Sent off I-129

1/08/08 - NOA 1

1/18/09 - RFE

1/30/09 - NOA2

???? - 45 Days of AP at NVC

03/15/09 - Left NVC

03/26/09 - Received pct. 3

05/06/09 - sent pkt back.

05/08/09 - Received pkt. 4

05/12/09 - Interview

07/24/09 - Out of AP

07/30/09 - Sent passport to Embassy.

08/15/09 - Received Passport with Visa.

08/18/09 - POE: Atlanta. It went very smooth, no problems at all. In and out in 30 minutes.

10/05/09 - Sent AOS/EAD

10/19/09 - Rec'd NOA

11/05/09 - Transferred to C.S.C.

11/10/09 - Biometrics - Cancelled waiting for new appt.

12/21/09 - Biometrics - Went well with no problems.

12/31/09 - EAD Card received.

02/16/10 - Transferred to Lee's Sumit, Mo

03/04/10 - Recieved AOS Interview letter.

04/07/10 - A.O.S. Interview - Approved. Very easy interview.

04-26-10 - 2Yr. Green card Received.

I called DOS today and they told me his visa had been issued on Tuesday, but we haven't received it yet, and no movement on DHL.

I sent two Emails to the embassy last week and they said i'm still under CO final review .

So i hope that i will hear something this week or next week .

What about you ? any news ?!!!!!!

august 2004 I-129 filed (neb)

DEC 2004 Approved

interview: SEOUL

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.

Dont worry for DOS u will be out of AP when the embassy issue the visa, otherwise they will keep telling u still on AP. After they received his passport u should wait 3 or 4 weeks for get it back.

I thought DOS issues the visa after the final OK then the embassy sends it? When I called last year DOS knew before the embassy that it had been completed and issued. The rep @ DOS at that time told me give the embassy a few days to "catch" up on the approved list and they would then send it out (his passport was already with them).

So fooking confusing! :blink:

The embassy issue the visa and send it not the DOS. they just update the DOS that they printed .and as we know that the embassy is kinda slow and sometimes they don't want to tell you anything .so when you call DOS to check your case status they will say yeah the embassy issues the visa on.... cause they can see that on their computer

Were waiting for our interview...Were DCFing through Cairo. Sent in packet 3 last week...This whole thing is nerve racking!!
