Ms. Tee calm down. It will be just fine. I have given you info in PM a while ago if I'm not mistaken. 1st things first...stop calling NVC...they no longer have any information on your case. You need to call the Department of State at 202-663-1225 for all updates now.

1. Get the signed DS-230 Part 1 to Kingston as soon as possible. You have three options:

a. Send email to Kingston to request a date to have your man drop it off. (This is the longest option)

b. Send a scanned copy of the signed form to Kingston email address. (Not sure of the timeline for this one being fast because NatPat ran into a few problems with it.)

c. Mail a signed copy to the Kingston Embassy using DHL, FedEx...UPS...or Postal Service. I used DHL and sent it with a cover letter requesting an interview date within a certain month, along with one passport photo of my fiance'. (It took 8 days from the time the form was delivered via DHL to I had my interview date.) I think I had the quickest turnaround after NVC and actual interview looking at the stats page.

2. Make sure you have duplicate copies ready of the following forms: DS-156, DS-156k, DS-157, I-134. You also need to compile all of your supporting documents of an ongoing relationship, and your fianancial information.

3. Make sure that your man has 8 updated passport photos (2 for the medical, 2 for the police certificate and 4 for the interview)

4. Your man needs to get his police certificate, shot records, non-impediment form, birth certificates for him and any children that may be coming with him or after him.

5. After the DOS or Kingston confirm that the DS-230 has been received and processed, you will get your interview date and letter (Packet 4) shortly after.

6. Once you know your interview date, you can schedule the medical. I used Mobay Hope with absolutely no problems. My fiance' was in and out with no problems.

7. Pay the $131 Visa fee at the NCB bank or at the cashier's window at the Embassy (my fiance' paid at the cashier's desk while he was waiting for his number to be called...and had no problems what so ever.)

8. Attend the interview, get your pink slip and go pay DHL for the delivery of his visa and passport...because we won't accept a blue slip at all.

See Jawi and KK all I need was confirmation! For someone to walk me through the process. With you guys and Rum Cream, Mstee is a happier young lady! lol When I said AOS, I was meaning Affidavit of Support. I did call the Dept of State and they were absolutely of no assistance. Im cool seriously. His momma got it now. Im just playing my part.

It took the embassy a long time to respond to my first email, but that was when I sent them the DS230 without having it signed. They said to have him sign it, scan it, & email it to them.

I did that on a Wednesday night. By the next Tuesday, they gave me an interview date.

If I could go back in time, I'd have Steven sign the DS230 during one of my many trips to JA, so that it could've already been scanned & ready to send the embassy as soon as they processed the case. That would've saved me 1.5 weeks in the process: not a lot in the long term, but that could've meant an interview on my preferred date (Sept 7).

Sept 7th is Labor day (observed) so they wouldn't have scheduled that date anyway...since they recognize all Jamaican and American holidays. I like that we both tried something other than the "norm" and it did shorten the process for those coming after us.

You know... it didn't even dawn on my that they'd celebrate American holidays. I guess they ARE the "US" embassy.
