if anyone is familiar with the DS-156 form...

#22 When do you intend to arrive in US ?.....do we give a rough estimate, i really wont know until after interview ..

#26 How long do you intend to stay in US? should i just put intend to marry?

#27 whats the purpose of your trip?

#28 Who will pay for your trip? do they ask for proof of that later on or we can jus put self?

#32 do you intend to work in US ? it says if yes then mus give address of employer however dont have a set job as i will come there and find one...

#36 Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa on your behalf? is that only previously or includes right now although i suppose K-1 is not a "immigrant visa" am i right? well even if it is ....what should i put if this is my first time evr goin thru this process ?

Also on the checklist, does the date of wedding need to be set in stone? would we have to show proof of hall bookings?

I know thats alot of questions at once ive been looking around but im also new so am kinda lost hope someone can direct me the right way

Thanks !

Hi-

I just went through that form with my attorney... this is how he told me to respond (I've responded in caps).

#22 When do you intend to arrive in US ?.....do we give a rough estimate, i really wont know until after interview .. IF YOU HAVE A SET DATE, PUT THAT. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SET IN STONE. SOMETIMES THE EMBASSY MAY GO BY THAT DATE TO DETERMINE WHEN YOUR INTERVIEW WILL BE.

#26 How long do you intend to stay in US? should i just put intend to marry? MY ATTORNEY TOLD ME TO LEAVE THAT BLANK.

#27 whats the purpose of your trip? MY ATTORNEY TOLD ME TO LEAVE THAT BLANK.

#28 Who will pay for your trip? do they ask for proof of that later on or we can jus put self? I PUT "SELF"

#32 do you intend to work in US ? it says if yes then mus give address of employer however dont have a set job as i will come there and find one... (I PUT "YES" AND PUT "TBD" FOR EMPLOYER INFO)

#36 Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa on your behalf? is that only previously or includes right now although i suppose K-1 is not a "immigrant visa" am i right? well even if it is ....what should i put if this is my first time evr goin thru this process ? IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ONE, THEN MARK "NO"

Also on the checklist, does the date of wedding need to be set in stone? would we have to show proof of hall bookings? NO THE DATE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SET IN STONE, BUT THEY MAY ASK FOR EVIDENCE OF THAT DATE. I JUST PUT "TBD"

HOPE THAT HELPS!! AND GOOD LUCK!

I know thats alot of questions at once ive been looking around but im also new so am kinda lost hope someone can direct me the right way

Thanks !
