the following question and answer doesn't make sense:

If you answer “Yes” to any of Questions 1 through 15 in Part 7 of form N-400, send:

A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.

Any thoughts on this?

You mean in reference to Section C? (Trips lasting 6 months or more...)

hmm, there appears to be some problem with the instructions in the visajourney link. There are no questions 1-15 in section 7, nor section 8 or 9. Section 10 starts the questions and they go up to 39. Questions 1-15 don't make much sense in that either. Here is the actual form: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/N-400.pdf Basically, it says that if you answer yes to any of the questions from 1 - 39 then there are additional instructions to follow, most of them involving including a written explanation of why you answered yes.

I will let Captain Ewok know of the errors in the instructions so he can get them fixed.
