Police Clearance certificate from Nepal

Hi,

My wife has lived in two different places in Nepal (Chitwan and Kathmandu) before and after marriage for at least 6 months . As per Department of State, we need to submit two police clearance certificate but us embassy in Nepal web site says that nowadays PCC is only issued by Police Headquarter in Kathmandu Nepal. In that case, how do I get the PCC for stay in Chitwan?

in my parnents case, they accepted only Kathmandu police certificater even they live outside kathmandu.

I'm pretty sure that they only issue report from KTM nowadays. Send an email to consktm@state.gov (Kathmandu Consular section) and ask them. I emailed them all the time while my wife's process was going on. Her visa just got approved today. I'm so happy. :)

These days, the only two places you can get PCC from nepal are Naxal and Maharjgunj. However, any one that needs to get a PCC from goes to Naxal, and fills out a form. It will take a day for you to get that.

here is the link for the Nepal Police, and I beleive , it is called ChalChaln Certificate. You can take a look at the format. http://www.nepalpolice.gov.np/

Sherpa, Do you have any idea how long the PCC is valid for ? Is it 6 months or a Year. Cuirous to know, an will appreciate any help in this regard. I am waiting for any news from NVC at this point for my spouse case.
