Sometimes we all have to step back and take a break from VJ from time to time.

Just yesterday, when you started posting, I thought "Jawi might disappear for a bit, but she'll come back just like Islandwoman." :P

LOL - that's true Nat!! But I had to take breaks for other reasons... now I just miss my gals, the great chit-chat and wonderful knowledge that flows on this site.

For those whose fiances/husbands have already arrived, where was the first place you took him?

I was thinking to take Steven to a steakhouse, since that's what Texas is known for, but he's not a big beef eater.

Then I thought to take him to the one authentic Caribbean restaurant, so that he'd have a moment of familiarity amidst all the newness.

Then I decided to give him a taste of another popular cuisine in America: TexMex. So we'll go to Lupe Tortilla or some other texmex place.

it was pretty late when hubby got in so first we went to the crib, then to the club, then to a restaurant at 3am....and then we stayed in bed for 3 days

i remember at the restuarant we debated about whether tomatoes were called tomatoes or salad

MSTEE, I didn't want to chime in on your drama, but packet and package in jamaica is the same thing. The package has more than one sheet on paper in it. Personally, I think you are making this process alot harder than it is. Since I just finish this entire process without a glick, you need to read all of tghe guides and follow them as they have been documented. This process is not hard at all. You should be filling out the documents yourself, because if something is inputed wrong or incorrect it is you and your So who will suffer the consequences.

Thanks. I needed someone to chime in. I appreciate it. I have been doing all the paperwork myself. Thats just it. Now the MIL wants to get involved. Im not doing anything else. Just going to let it flow the way its supposed to. Im not posting anything else about it. Ive tried my best to do this mess. Just gonna leave it all alone.

You guys have a nice day.

Mstee..... we are not all so lucky to have a glitch free process, so don't worry. Sometimes one hand at the embassy doesn't know what the other is doing so don't let things get under your skin too much. Just deal with what you have to and keep it going. Most of the time packet 3 doesn't show up so we have to recreate it. I have an older scanned copy that I gave to other yardies if you don't get it. He doesn't have to make the trip to the embassy just to pick one up because it is just standard forms.
