Tomorrow my baby starts kindergarten

How is he feeling about it? Excited? Scared?

He was very excited but today in the "meet the teacher" thing they let the kids go play on the playground and 2 kids were being mean to him.

None of his pre-school friends are in his kindergarten class

I just told him to tell the kids to be nice and then go find someone else to play with.

It was not the best start tho

This is for Nat, we have recvd our visa in 3 days, our interview was on Wed, 8/5, the visa is ready for pick-up today.

Thursday of last week was a holiday, so the embassy was closed, so today would make the 3rd working day.

After ToAliWithLove indicated that it was at DHL in Kingston by the next day, and in MoBay by the 4th day, I was debating waiting for it to get to MoBay or making a trip to Kingston. It would cost more to go to Kingston, of course, but it would pretty much guarantee that he'd be able to fly back with me on Saturday. But considering when yours was ready, I'll wait for it to get to MoBay.

Nat what I have been going through what I have with my daughter I can give you about another 1000 reasons not to have kids. It is 5:10 here and I am still at work because I don't want to go home and deal with her tonight. GOD GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!!!!

So I know ya'll don't comment on my poetry much

But I had to share this story after talking about it this morning...

One of my co-workers was raped when she was 14 years old

Out of that horrible experience she became pregnant. Now, this was back in the early 50's and she was sent away to have the baby and give it up for adoption. I have worked with her for 11 years and she has ALWAYS searched for her daughter. Well this year she found her! I heard her bawling in her office one day and when I went in she told me she just got a call from the PI who gave her the name and the phone number of her daughter.

Well the daughter was shocked, she had a loving family and had never even searched for her birth mom even tho she knew she had been adopted. They planned to meet and my co-worker was so excited...

She asked if I would write a poem for her daughter and I told her to send me some thoughts and feelings she wanted to convey...

She sent me this:

So glad I finally found you after looking all these years not knowing if you were dead or alive. Glad that you are healthy and happy. And glad that you are accepting of all this. I want to thank your adopted parents for loving you and taking care of you. I never want to come between you. Even though I haven’t known you all these years I can’t help but love you.

This is the poem I wrote:

So many years ago

When I was still so young

I went through an experience

Not easy for anyone

The choice was made for me

Being a child, I had no say

And so a child gave birth

Then watched her daughter be taken away

As time passed by I realized

The extent of what I lost

And so I vowed to search for you

To find you at any cost

I’m so thankful to have found you

And see you’ve grown up well

I must give thanks to your family

They’ve raised you good, I can tell

To know you have your health

And that you’ve found happiness

Fills me with such joy

I cannot fully express

I realize it must be hard

Like I came out of the blue

I thank you for accepting me

I have long searched for you

I would never want to come

Between you and your mother

Yet I hope you can be thankful

That you Kim, have another

My little girl of long ago

Is a woman now today

I finally stopped the waterworks this week JaP....then you had to go and start them up again. This was a very touching story and poem.

M's son is here now and she is even ruder, meaner and nastier to him than she is Mikel. Everything that I do to correct the behavior isn't working. I feel like I am beating my head agains the wall with her.

It's hard for me even hearing this, I can't imagine what you are going through...

Maybe she is feeling your time slip away more and more with Mikel and now your son in the house...?
