I'm out for the day. Dinner at Red Lobster with my family for daughter's birthday. I hear some all kinds of good tasting foods calling my name. My belly is answering back!

Have a good night. See you all tomorrow.

Hey Bunz, yup you can apply now in Kingston and advise them its for a permanent resident Visa. Hubby got his back in about 3 days.

Yeah. If I recall correctly it's $1000 to have it ready in 3 weeks or $2000 to have it ready in 3 days. The website tells you exactly what to bring.

For travelling purposes you will need:

Your passport

Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)

2 passport sized pictures

So this person posts a question asking how he can tell if his file made it to NVC after receiving NOA2. I told him he can call NVC at their 603 number. He responded that that wasn't helpful at all. I mentioned that typing in "603" at the search above, or "NVC 603" in Google would get him the number. Someone else put in the full # and he thanked them saying how much more helpful they were than I was.

Would I have been wrong to ask if he wants me to mash his veggies for him, too?

Bunz, they didn't give us back the orginals at the interview, I will contact them to see if we can get our orginals back.

Rox, I hear the originals are in the mysterious brown envelope that they give you & tell u not to open. He's supposed to give it to the officers at POE

Bunz...the info you need for the AOS package are: (1) 2008 W2's, (2) evidence of filing 2008 Fed Tax returns, (3) letter from employer (optional), (2) 6 months pay stubs (optional), (4) completed I-864 form.

From reading stories in the AOS thread, I recommend asking for a copy of the medical at POE (if you don't already have it). Apparently the gov has lost a lot of peoples' medical results somewhere between the embassy, POE, and wherever the paperwork goes after that. If you get a copy at POE, it can save a lot of hassle when you need to submit the I-693 with AOS.

CR1 won't need copies of medical... we get GC's.
