either you are a cheater or you are not....either you are a faithful person or you are not.....just have to know who you are dealing with.

not sure what being jamaican has to do with it.....maybe mi miss something

i only say jamaican cuz thats the context jae put it cuz she doesn't know much about any other man.. only jamaican.. now for everybody else i guess who doesn't think its possible for men (of any background) to abstain.. would u say THEY CAN in an LDR cuz they have been intimate w/ u and they know they will be again so they can hold out 6 mths or more???

and i don't mean have a girlfriend or another woman.. a hook up basically???

im just saying cuz in a way all our guys are practicing abstinence if we believe they are being true till they see us again...

and sus.. i could ask the same question about the women, some of us can't hold out either, but mi nuh wan get into ppl business too bad..

Question:

Today I had dinner with my aunt & her friends. Apparently my aunt told them I was engaged to a Jamaican before I arrived. One of the ladies told me that she's heard that a lot of guys who work at resorts in Jamaica pursue American women to get a green card. I responded, "I've heard that before."

What do you all say when people tell you that?

It's none of your damn business.....I'm a grown woman!!

u guys would really curse the ppl??? LOL.. i dont' know what i would say nat.. i think about it alot tho cuz i know its coming.. UGHHHH

If some hot girl were to come onto him hard, though, he might have a little trouble resisting. Out of respect for me, though, he has only male friends. He is of the belief that men and women can not be close friends...sex is always an issue.

really..isn't that a bit unrealistic?

I don't know about unrealistic...I have male friends, but none that I hang out with alone. Honestly, I can be the jealous type so I like that I don't have to be jealous of any close girlfriends of his. He is close to his sisters, and he has a few female friends from work, but he doesnt hang out with them outside of work, same as me.

It works for us, anyway.

When I say sex is always an issue, I mean to say that deep down we are always aware of our sexuality...It is simply the truth that any male friend we might have as women at least thinks of us sexually unless he is gay. It is an inescapable part of our biology. We are wired for it!

By no means am I saying this should go for everyone. Just our shared opinion...

ok, who have a new topic?

anybody else have MIL problem, marraige problem, pickney problem, adjustment problem?

who ave birthday, vacation, promotion, anniversary, divorce, wedding coming up?

who's feeling good, bad, happy, or sad?

oh yeah, where is ells?

Ok, I admit it, I don't like my MIL, but I would NEVER tell my husband in a million years. She is always just SO negative. She is always sick and complaining. Life is so hard and terrible. I know life in Ja can be hard, but her children take care of her...she has a comfortable house and a comfortable bed, she has no bills to pay, and she always has food on her plate. She has a beautiful garden around her house that my husband planted for her.

When my husband sends her money she spends it on cash pot. I hear him tell her not to on the phone, but she does anyway.

Whew! Nice to get this off my chest. Honestly, though, she raised my husband and she loves him very much, and he loves her. She is also the grandmother of my son and she loves him, too. I am just tired of hearing about what a terrible place the world is!

I also hate how she comes into our Jamaican house without knocking. I am used to more privacy. Maybe thats a Jamaican thing. It doesn't seem to bother Neil.

JUST let it out acrow! hey nobody said we had to like everybody, at least u respect her..

it might be a country thing to just come into the house.. my ex MIL and family do the same, when i accidently have my door unlocked BUT they keep their door unlocked and allow anybody to come in and out as well so i didn't take it sooo bad..

What do you all say when people tell you that?

Forgive Them Father

Lord please take a moment

To hear my plea today

I heard some hateful things

And for the speaker let me pray

I say forgive them Father

For they know not what they do

Forgive them and allow him

To show them he is true

For I do not doubt a minute

And I do not regret a day

They may have doubts of him

But, my mind they cannot sway

YOU have made me know

That happiness is real

It’s YOU that speaks through him

It’s YOU who made me feel

My heart is numb no more

And only you could cure it

Through the angel that you sent me

You showed me I deserve it

They may never understand

So many people never find

A love that is so perfect

A love that is divine

So I ask you to forgive them

If they doubt he could be true

Forgive them for they know not

They know not what they do…

Like I said, it is just my husband and I's shared understanding. Everyone is different. If I had an old friend like that I am sure that it would be different for us. As soon as he met him and picked up on the lack of chemistry I'm sure he would be ok with it.

By no means am I judging or insinuating that you all are going to cheat on your men with your friends...I'm just telling you about Neil and I.
