Quanna you know sometimes it takes a separation to realize the love. Looking back you know it was all in God' plan and look at what you have now a life long commitment. I guess this saying holds true in your case "If you love someone let them go,if they come back to you it was meant to be" (F)(L)

girl, i didn't have much of a choice .. cuz we ended REAL bad.. i was mad and i told him.. its ova.. but i didn't mean it LOL.. i just wanted him to know how CRAZY this whole thing was making me..

i told him a ton of stuff he NEVER knew i had issues with and u have NO idea how much that hurt him that i never talked to him about it.. he told me i should quit trying to please everybody by going along and speak up for myself and if i don't love myself how was anybody ever gonna be able to love me.. he said i probably really just wanted my husband back anyway. i called and he would not answer or return my calls.. baby bwoy was SWOLE as u would say.. after some days.. i stopped calling.. heck, one monkey don't stop no show.. changed my number and EVERYTHING!!

u had to see the smile on my face when he had my best friend call me 3 way..:dance:

If you want to practice, feel free to visit me! My best friend could braid/cornrow, but she moved to New York in December. So now I only get it done when I go to Jamaica.... but that's about to stop. I need to make friends with corn-rowers, cause Steven and I will both need that done periodically.

We're having an issue with mister's hair needs as well. There are plenty of braiders here but they charge more than I can afford....especially for simple, straightforward cornrows. He has been debating whether or not to just cut it or get locks. I tell him it's his hair & he can do whatever he wants but it would be nice if I could learn to do it or find someone to do it cheaply.

On another related note, how long should cornrow dos last? Even when mister wears the headscarf at night to keep the braids nice, his hair already looks fuzzy after a week. Granted some of that is because he just can't keep his hands off his head & is always scratching or messing with it. Even with using braid spray & hair oil, etc., he STILL won't leave his head alone! And I can't manage getting his hair done every 2 weeks or less & I definitely don't have the time to spend hours every other week doing something myself. This is becoming a problem.....nothing serious, just want him to look & feel good.

Do you ever feel like you prayers are just not being answered? :(

Yes...but as others say, they just aren't answered when (or how) we'd like.

Thanks all for the do-it-yourself procedures...i would love to do the swimming one...have to join the YMCA or something...but for now i think i'll try the tilting, the flashlight, and the music...I also heard that babies like warmth so if i put a cold packet on top of my stomach where the baby head is she will move away from it and turn back down...We will see if any of these work...I have less than 7 weeks to make sure it does...crossing my fingers.... :innocent:

I've found it depends on how small/tight they are. If my mother does it, a week. If Steven's sister does it, a month.

I read it as "laughing my block off" but if I stop & think, I realize it's butt.

on the locks.. check maintenance fees.. i wanna say its almost as much as getting cornrow, but i don't know how often they get them tightened.. it may be worth it???

If he decided on locks, I would almost definitely become his 'tightener' since I think that would be a bit more manageable. After the initial cost of getting them, I think I'd want to save the maintenance money & it would be worth spending several hours every month or two to keep them up. I really wish I could just cornrow but I've got to give serious props to anyone who can ca ie nah easy!
