I have a natural hair question:

What is the hair typing about? 4a vs 4b vs 3b? Is anyone familiar with hair types for natural hair?

well u probably already know the lil bit i know.. it rates the KNAPPINESS lol.. real course vs real fine.

but i don't know how to find out ur type or what number represent what..

and guess what my little shyt did yesterday? he broke the window in his bedroom as he was pretending to be dwayne wade........i could of killed him....how the hell am i supposed to fix a window?

did u board it up in the meantime?

hell no...

the window has 2 panes and he only broke the inside one...

oh ok.. sometimes i wish i had a boy, but times like that.. glad i don't LMAO

ive only been in tx my 2 and i love it.. so i can't be very objective :blush:

im not from va and i have been thinking of a change of scenery . its just been on my mind lately ...

its possible..

my hair is not really coarse, sort of the middle.. but if i dread it it can look a knappy mess like Whoopi's LMAO..

that was my understanding of types from fotki, but it was just reading ppls comments, not from research.. let me know what u find out..

i saw ur update, so mr is gonna drive trucks!!! that sucks about the year requirement..

its gonna be short distance driving i hope.. didn't u have enough separation during ur LDR.. LOL.. hey i can't knock the hustle tho.. good money to be made driving trucks..

roger has a friend from ja that does it long distance tho.. is always away from home.. i told roger.. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!

don't relax it!!! im sure her hair is not that bad.. my youngest hair is still natural and i DREAD combing her hair.. her dad's ppl used to talk about me having it in a ponytail all the time until one of them combed it.. took every bit of an hour!!!

i tried a texturizer kit for kids w/ natural hair.. it is a chemical, BUT it did not straighten her hair.. i only used it once.. cuz her hair can be tamed w/ a lil olive oil or some kind of detanlger/moisterizer..

i think that texturizer was by soft and beautiful, it has some lil girls on the box..

my oldest however is relaxed.. i don't have the patience, she is 12 and i can't deal w/ her whining about going back natural.. plus she won't keep it detangled like she needs so perm it is..

Quana, I'm with you on the truck driving. I don't want my husband having a job that regularly separates us for long periods @ a time. Steven doesn't even [currently] like the idea of my job sending me away for a month or so.

my2, DON'T RELAX IT!!! If it's curly, work with it. Or even flat-iron it, as that's less permanent than a relaxer.

As far as moving, I've lived in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. I like Texas the most. New Orleans had its perks, but I'm not a fan of the school system there. Norman, Oklahoma was only super-fun if you were a college student there. But not enough diversity outside of the school. Houston has lots of diversity in people & stuff to do, but it is HUGE. Most people (not me!) do a lot of driving to get anywhere.

dallas too.. 30 min drive is the norm to do anything round here.. i mean u have ur local grocery, movie theater and such, but ur friends /coworkers are most likely from ALL over cuz the metroplex is so large, so any given weekend ur are on a road trip to get somewhere.. i don't even think twice
