Thought I would add in about chores... I hate doing dishes. Louis will do that. I am a pretty neat person and like things in their place. A cluttered house gets me anxious. So I do pick up every day. Vaccuum a few times a week. Every couple weekends I mop, bleach.. deep cleaning stuff. Louis always helps, no matter what. He will do anything I ask him to do. He doesnt always volunteer but if he sees alot of dishes or the trash needs to be taken out he will do it.

We never discussed anything. It just happened. I think because he is the oldest of 3 boys and his mom has not always been able to clean like she would want to (health problems) he was always there to help her.

Oh he cooks really well too. Nothing has ever been "a woman's job" or "a man's job". One of us will get what needs to be done... done!

So what do think of wearing socks with sandals?

this is like scratching the chalk board for me. it annoys me. Not that I should care what people wear but i can't even look at..

Oh my gosh! That is the worst! Up here in Maine we have many, many Birkenstock and socks wearers! Even worse when they are old guys with shorts and black dress socks! Ewww!

Please People, can we just LET IT REST NOW?

Jawi didn't believe what I posted about some lyrics I heard in my ear one morning.

I took it that she did not believe my man was sincere...

I understand now, and whether anyone believes what I post here or not really does not effect my final outcome...

Jawi, even tho you did not reply, I hope you at least read the message I sent to your facebook yesterday before all of this drama, because I MEANT it!

I truly hope you are able to find a place of happiness and relief from your pain. (F)

Nah. The decision was: we'll do all the chores TOGETHER. I told one of the ladies at church that (she's been married for 20 yrs or so) and she laughed & said "Let me know how THAT goes."

We'll see.

Ha-ha...I remember once A and I were in Canada. We had a long day of fun...going to race cars (forgot the name but you drive around the tracks)...then we went to a casino. Well, neither of us found the prospect of eating out appetizing so I decided that I would fry fish when we got back home.

His roommates girl was pregnant and sloppy as I don't know what. She made some spaghetti dish that involved her using every cooking utensil...pot...pan and dish in the entire kitchen. There was sauce all over the counters...greasy fingerprints on the spices...etc. She left it like that knowing that I was going to cook for A and the other roommate. I can't stand a messy kitchen and refuse to cook until the kitchen is spotless. It was pretty late at night (around 8 or 9 PM)and I asked A to help me clean so the food could be done a lot quicker. His response "Babes...mi well tired. Mi nuh wan fe clean har mess...mi love yuh...can yuh mek white rice wid de fish?"

I said "So, I run on a generator or something? What makes you think I'm not tired. We both know that C is not going to clean up behind herself. Come on let's just get it done." He still wouldn't budge. When I tell you that I took my sweet time cleaning the kitchen...and I went extra extra slow cooking the food...I nibbled on fruit so I was cool. Well, A came down the stairs huffing about im hungry and im belly beg food. I said "Oh baby...I'm sorry but the cleaning took much longer than I anticipated. Soon come okay? I love you. You want me to bring the plate up when I finish?" He kissed teeth and stormed up the stairs. He got his food around 12 AM. LMAO

Well...long story short...if I ask him to help me do something...he is quick to jump on it now. A is a neat freak...but he had to learn that it is a joint effort in this relationship. LOL

:ot: sort of...

this chick was so NASTY...A's roommates said that I had cleaned more in two weeks than they had seen her clean in an entire year. She would just plop down anywhere and eat her food...but then she would leave the leftovers there too...on the sofa...on the floor...on the coffee table...wherever. The kitchen would be a MESS when she finished...and she only prepared food for herself. So, I couldn't stand it and just started cleaning...I pulled out the broom...the vacuum...shook out area rugs....cleaned the bathroom...cleaned the kitchen you name it. The guys came home from work and started smiling so hard. A was so proud. LOL

Then, on Saturdays...the guys would all wake up early and we would clean together listening to dancehall while she stayed locked up in her room. At first I was pissed...then I got over it because I thought about her being pregnant. I went to Canada on two different trips...each two weeks long...when I tell you that she wore the same outfit...every single day...a black tee-shirt and black stretch yoga pants. The guys said that she never changed out of that outfit...even when she went to work. She would take a bath everyday...but she just never changed clothes. *YUCK*

I wonder if things picked up for her after she had the baby.

I think you misunderstood me...I didn't think your man was insincere....I just thought you changed the words from "Baby we are so much alike that it's like looking in a mirror"...and made them more poetic so they came across a little more romantic because of the poet in you. That is what I meant by embellishing the truth...doesn't mean it was a lie...just a cleaned and polished truth.

Anyway, I'm over it...it's whatever.

I haven't been on FB...so I missed a message from you. I will go read it now.

What's the point of taking a bath if you putting on dirty clothes....

Its funny to hear everyone else story about housework issue...its cool to hear that no matter how minimal it might seem everyone is experiencing it someway or the other...I agree with Kimmy when she said she blames the mother...my hubby is the last boy out of 7 kids...there is only two boys in his fam which is him and one older brother...the rest are all girls...so he was spoiled and didn't have to do any housework at his house...the only reason why he can cook is because him and his friends would go out to the bush from when they were young and run "boats" all the time over a fire and steel pot...so that is how he learned how to cook...

The only one thing i look forward too is when our baby is born he said he will wash all her clothes for me by hand...(he doesn't think i wash good with my hand cause you don't hear the squeaking when I do it...but when he does it you hear it...LOL) I told him i don't believe in washing baby clothes in outside washing machines and he agrees...i don't have a washing machine in the house and I just think its unsanitary for newborns clothes to go into washing machines that people you don't know uses since babies skin are so delicate...so he said he will do that...we will see though cause I don't want to get my hopes all high....
