Hmm. I don't know. But I don't feel I know you as much as Quana, DaDa, Sus, Jawi, mstee, KK, Philly, my2, Ells, dillon & the others. If someone were to ask me about you, I couldn't say anything but that you're married & have 1 or 2 children.

That's unfortunate that you were misled. If a Jamaican told you that it's within walking distance, keep in mind that they walk WAAAAAY more than we (or at least I) do. Steven's mother once made a comment about how easy it is to walk the 7 mile beach in Negril since it's flat. I whispered to Steven "Did she just say it's easy to walk 7 miles??"

When I started staying in regular (instead of all inclusive) hotels in Negril, I found this map. I love it because you can see where all the hotels & restaurants are in relationship to each other. Map of Negril Showing Hotels/Restaurants/etc

I like to stay somewhere in the middle of Norman Manley Blvd so that I'm close to Margaritaville, Alfred's, The Jungle, & Sweet Spot.

Yeah...everyone said "You could walk BUT....." I went through Negrilonestop and they told me the same thing. I also printed the map. We walked to the Jungle one night. Also enjoyed 2 for 1 drinks and food at Barn B Barn (sp).

I stayed in Negril before and thought the taxis were too expensive and had the same thoughts this trip too. I'm not cheap by no means but I guess I'm just spoiled being in walking distance from everything in MoBay. Plus it was a group of us. I also felt like we got overcharged for many purchases because we used US money...not a biggie but it's different in MoBay.

We went to Rick's Cafe (I was being a tour guide) and was attacked by BUGS...I mean bugs everywhere. I've been to Rick's many many times and never had this issue. We only stayed for 5 minutes.

The highlights were - Mayfield Falls, the hotel and just being in Jamaica with family.

Yes Gurl, that's what I'm gunning for. It just bothers me because anyone who knows me knows Education is a HUGE part of my life! To see the wonderfully smart little boy not have his little brain filled with numbers & letters at this ideal age is KILLING ME!!! You don't even have to send a child to school to teach him his ABC's & numbers...it just takes some time to sit down & teach him!!:angry:

I agree with you, Gill - I had the same fight about DJ's son - one trip, he knew all his multiplication (he's 6) = next trip, he had been at his other grandmothers - he couldn't remember them! She would not feel well = which meant she didn't send him to school = Hell, if I didn't feel well I would make sure they were in school - so I had peace and quiet! He didn't go back there

Morning Peeps (F)

The transportation saga continues...

I am working from home this morning until the boy gets out of school...

The parent that the teacher found told me yesterday morning that she could start today.

Then she called last night to say her husband wasn't comfortable with her committing to doing that and that she changed her mind....

*sigh*

Back to the drawing board. Somehow it will all work out!

Sorry Ja P I know you are upset, something will work out! Keep the faith!

Morning all - I am with Thompson that I am too lazy to go back and quote, lol -

Gilli, sounds like such a wonderful trip - sorry to hear about the money situation though - if KJ can't go live with his sis, can Ken's sis at least be the one you send him money to buy him clothes and stuff?

MsTee, Sorry for the car troubles, that sucks - hopefully the woman did have insurance and wasn't just high -

Bunz, that woman in NY was awful - her family tried to claim she was fine - hello, 12 beers and weed?

JAEng, I know you are excited to have him home!!!

I am working from home today, lol - about to go to the gym.

Hey Gill...

I know you are going to try and do the K2 have you emailed the embassy or consulate yet? Let me tell you it moves really quick once you do. If you have any questions hit me up.

Awesome Dills!! Thanks so much! I was worried b/c the 1 year to get him here expired on us and I felt we would have to do the whole filing over again.

her husband told her move it or lose him

its a move in the right direction for her in terms of her health but what annoys me is how she is all for team chunk empowerment and the minute she thought her man was gonna leave her she dropped all of that talk

I believe you do Gill. You have to file I-130 once the one year from K-1 visa is expired.

Well, if she is smaller...people won't listen to her chunk empowerment

I think it is great that she is talking control of her weight and especially her health. It's a fact that being overweight causes more health problems. And being overweight doesn't mean you can't be beautiful. But I think Health is more important. Just my 2 cents.

I was trying to say..size does not determine beauty..

Sus, I so feel you on that! Of course she is now starting to see the light that if Ken's Sister takes him...her $$ will be done! So she called last night telling Ken that he has forgotten his roots and now things that Melbourne (where she lives) is not good enough for his son! I was like...Chick we NEVER thought Melbourne was good enough for him, but I'm glad you're catching on!! It has nothing to do with thinking we're better! It has to do with wanting better for your shild! Which any real Mother would want! Usually, we're cool...but when it comes to this ish...it just sets me OFF!!
