I'm super excited because I FINALLY was about to get "free" round trip airfare to Montego Bay!

I'd been checking daily since finding out the interview date, HOPING the price of the flight would go down... but nope. It was stuck at $507 every single day. The other thing I hoped would happen was that my 20,000 bonus miles from the Continental MasterCard would go through in time for me to get a flight. Every day I checked it, but my # of miles hadn't changed. Until today! I was able to use the bonus miles & pay taxes/fees ($52) for next month's trip. That savings will come in VERY handy.

That"s Awesome Nat...CONGRATS!!! That's very handy considering how much this whole blinking process costs!

To see the wonderfully smart little boy not have his little brain filled with numbers & letters at this ideal age is KILLING ME!!! You don't even have to send a child to school to teach him his ABC's & numbers...it just takes some time to sit down & teach him!!

We stayed at the Sunset on the Beach resort (formerly Coral Seas)...it's the last hotel on the beachside. The hotel is cute and clean. They had some updates. A former yardie VJer used to stay there (even got married there) and she like the new updates and management.

Sorry...I hit the button too fast. We had a suite was spacious. The "living room" has a couch and a full size bed. The room also had a small kitchen. The bathroom and bedroom areas were huge.

The issue with the hotel is that I was told everything was in walking distance. I wanted to stay away from most ATI events but close enough to walk to bars and restuarants...that wasn't the case.

That's unfortunate that you were misled. If a Jamaican told you that it's within walking distance, keep in mind that they walk WAAAAAY more than we (or at least I) do. Steven's mother once made a comment about how easy it is to walk the 7 mile beach in Negril since it's flat. I whispered to Steven "Did she just say it's easy to walk 7 miles??"

When I started staying in regular (instead of all inclusive) hotels in Negril, I found this map. I love it because you can see where all the hotels & restaurants are in relationship to each other. Map of Negril Showing Hotels/Restaurants/etc

I like to stay somewhere in the middle of Norman Manley Blvd so that I'm close to Margaritaville, Alfred's, The Jungle, & Sweet Spot.
