but the thing is there are not THAT many posters in the yardie thread

when you really check it out, it boils down to less than 20 regular posters, estimating roughly

its probably 2 or 3 ppl talking sh!t and if that's the case, they are entitled to their opinion

i'm kinda disappointed, i was hoping the yardie thread would be different but ah so it go

For the most part, at least they aren't as in your face as the MENA posters are. I would not make a good MENA GF or wife ever!

ME NEITHER

omg, you can barely crack a joke without someone taking offense

not to mention the filipino ones

lawd misses!!!

where's this?

i can cause some serious trouble over there...

go give them hell finesse!

I had to do something to help pass the time waiting on my NOA2.

I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but the most hilarious thing I ever read on this site (well, I'm prone to hyperbole) went something like this:

People: blah blah blah MENA blah blah blah

Newbie: What is MENA?

Random person: The reverse of Thailand/Phillipines

People got SOOOOO mad. A mod came & broke it up (probably Kathryn). I couldn't even express my laughter.

Sorry NatPat...I don't think so. I may come on to read the guides for AOS/ROC...but I won't be a yardie poster anymore. I'm tired of being the underdog...the person everyone loves to hate because I post something that makes people think or maybe a little uncomfortable. I'm tired of hearing about the private PMs discussing what I post and how rude it was or xyz...I'm tired of dealing with fakeness and sometimey friendships. I can't stand cowardice. Those that I am truly friends with know who they are...and they know that I will always be a phone call away.

Right now, I am posting because A is not here...I'm sitting in a boring training class for another 4 weeks...so why not.

I REALLY hope this is not about me  cause ain't nobody PM'd me a thing

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone has their own perception Jawi.

That is the spice of life! Nuh make nobody run you!

Nothing to do with you or what I said to you. Trust me nobbody run mi...but life is too short for me to have to constantly stifle my feelings...bite my tongue and deal with drama or a soap opera...so just like ja.com...VJ time has come to an end.

I told some people that once A got here...I was done with VJ...so it wasn't an overnight decision. There are a lot of people that do not post here anymore because of the phonyness and that every one is quick to jump down another person's throat because they aren't of the same belief as the majority. I know that in our personal lives we hear all the naysayers and we just want to come to a place where everyone understands and is pretty much in the same boat with the LDR situations. However, when you care about someone you shouldn't have to agree with foolishness just to still be accepted.

My sister's situation almost ripped my heart out because I knew before he even got here...I tried to tell her things to look out for...things to be careful of...she just told him everything I said...and he avoided me and the "pitfalls or red flags". I then said okay...I can't warn her anymore...all I can do is try to support her and be there for her when the foundation comes crumbling down. There is a rift in our relationship that I don't think will ever be repaired because I can't pretend anymore. She wants to believe in him...so I stay in my place. She was hurt because I don't want him at my wedding...I want her there so I conceded...even though it is my day. She wants him and A to hang out...and that is an absolute NO WAY! He didn't like A because A tried to give her advice too...oh boy I'm rambling...it's the medicine.

All I want to say is that you have to stop being so defensive and heed some of the warnings. Listen to your own intuition...I mean really listen. It won't steer you wrong...but I see so many women turning it off, ignoring it or lying to themselves that everything is gravy when they know in their heart of hearts it's not.

I know I ruffled a lot of feathers...but everything I said was not done in malice...it was with pure intent and wishing the best for all of you.

There are some people that I want to scream to the top of my lungs "WAKE UP" sweetie...but nobody wants to hear that when they are in love...so I bite my tongue and pray for the best. I have been about 99% accurate on the ones I know are not what the woman thinks they are...it is scary...but it's not for me to publicly forecast or denounce.

There are no guarantees in life...we just have to roll with the punches and pray/hope for the best.

Yep. And, if you think JA men have too many "rules" or quirks or whatever you want to call them, listen closely to what they are saying about MENA men. OMG....I would not last a day with a MENA man and all those rules. Don't even get me started on the scarf on the head thing or worse, the burqa.
