Just checked my mail box and there was my interview letter, I was shocked!! How can I get an interview letter in less than a month of filing? Plus I thought EAD and AP are supposed to come through before interview.

Congrats, BellyButton! That is really an amazing case!

I haven't had any update on my case yet,even though it's been over a week since I sent the RFE back, and I'm so nervous to do a walk-in biometrics because of that :( Should I do a walk-in while the case is on hold??

Thanks Inna, If i were you, i would do a walk-in cos i dont think the biometrics is dependent on status update. Plus I think a walk-in will speed up your process to make up for the time spent on RFE. Good luck

FINALLY, got an e-mail from CRIS! Apparently they recieved my RFE response 5 days ago, so they only now let me know they recieved it!!! I've been having nightmares every single night since I sent it! Gosh..! Also, I did a walk-in biometrics today, since I couldn't bare the wait anymore.

Does anyone know what they use your signature for? Mine worked out clumsy and unusual, because that digital pad and a pan they give you are uncomfortable to use, does it matter if the signature looks different from how I sign on paper? Ppl, tell me about your experience with signature at biometrics appt please.

Inna, I haven't receive my Bio letter yet, hope I will receive it within this week so I could try the walk-in Bio early next week :yes:

I'm trying to add my case on my portfolio at the USCIS.gov case status online but it doesn't go through :unsure:

I got the letter with the appointment for biometrics for 9/24 in the mail on monday (2 days ago) and went ahead and did a walk-in today. Everybody was really nice and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. YAY! Just saved 3 weeks :-)

Richa, a good method to track your package is to send it as certified mail at USPS. That way you have a receipt with a number that you can put in USPS website, and see where your package is, and when it is delivered. It costs like $1.50-2.50 to get that.

To find out whether the checks were cashed, you can view it on-line if you have on-line banking, or you can go to your bank to find out.

Usually checks are cashed on the day when USCIS issues NOA, or the following day. Either way, it can take up to 6 days for them to issue NOA. Respectively, NOA will come in the mail not earlier than 10 days before you mailed your package. God luck with your journey!

Btw, did you include the right fees:$355 and $1010?

I got the letter with the appointment for biometrics for 9/24 in the mail on monday (2 days ago) and went ahead and did a walk-in today. Everybody was really nice and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. YAY! Just saved 3 weeks :-)

I have received the NOA for I-130,I-131, I-485&I-765 (Notice date : 08/27/09) Expecting the biometrics letter but I am not sure how I will make it since I am 38 weeks pregnant and 15 more days for my labor.

But I have been thinking to take risk and drive to Jacksonville 2.5 hrs from my place as soon as I receive the biometrics letter. Any thoughts?

Hubby went for his Walk In Appt! I made him do this all by himself while I'm here super busy & swamped @ work =) But he did it ! It wasn't so bad... at first he was reluctant to go by himself, afterall this is a brand new country to him... but yay! He finished his biometrics ^_^

We are now... in the waiting stage again =)

EAD~ approval, lets hope you come soon!

Hi Bluehills. In most cases, biometrics letter is recieved within 10 days after the NOA recieving date. Your biometrics most likely won't be till after a 2-3 weeks after your bio issue date. If the date will be a little after your estimated delivery date, maybe you should go there on the scheduled date after you give birth, so that there is no risk of complications when driving 2.5 hours ona way and back. Is it a boy or a girl?:)

Bellybutton, just curious: did you get an e-mail from CRIS stating that they sent you the interview letter, or maybe a touch like 5-6 days before you recieved it? Also, what do you think of bringing as proof of marriage?

Inna, I did not get any CRIS e-mail notifying me that interview letter has been sent, the last touch i had was like 11days prior to the letter. In terms of docs to bring for interview all we have now is joint cell phone bills, joint lease, joint account. we are about to get whatever we can add to it because it is kinda impromptu. I would advise anybody to start getting documents for interview as soon as you can. Best of luckl

08/15/09- Biometrics letter received (for 09/09/09) (Day 12)

08/20/09- Walk-In Biometrics (Day 17)

08/31/09- Interview letter received for 09/28/09 (Day27)

09/24/09- EAD Card production ordered (Day 51)

09/28/09- Interview (Day 55)
